There's a stand featuring Thanksgiving products at Longo's, I'll look for it when I'm there.

Not sure if Trudeau's directive to reduce prices had any effect with the grocers lol.

Turkey is overrated anyway. :ROFLMAO:
I don't eat turkey myself...not even in Thanksgiving parties...too bland for me...it's either pork chops or chicken or rib roast...

Oh man late shoppers are fuuuuuucked.

I plan Türkey 4 months out when they are on sale. Hel, I’ll even do a practice turkey the day or two the big event just so we can eat more turkey.

Walmart has "limited stock" of Turkey for $3.15 / lb.... i don't think it's butterball though... probably the cheapest you can get.... for a Turkey that weights about. 8kg. thats about 20lb...it's estimated around $70 to $75 turkey... far from the $120 you get from longos..but again..."limited stock" probably means only 50 turkey per store...

To be fair. If you bought a 16 pound bird for say 40 then spend three days thawing it and then four hours cooking it. What's your time worth to you? If those details sound specific it's because that's what I'm doing. But I don't fault anyone who wants to pay instead. If that was your only choice for getting a turkey then yes it certainly sucks. But when you have other options.... well that's just called choice.

I've seen bbq places that sell cooked brisket forsay for 30 per pound.

There's always been a mark up for per cooked/prepared food.

Why bother cooking a turkey. Just line up or go to church or Scott Missions for a nice turkey dinner with gravy, salad and dessert too 😎.
