One would think that if there was a god and he was a fan of torturing people forever if they don't love him enough, he would being all knowing and all powerful be a bit more on point and less ambigious with his message. One would almost think he really wants people to reject him so he has an excuse to make with the pain.

HE - you just project like most other people. Any entity that's omnipotent and omniscient would be far beyond the understanding of mere mortals.
