Put in loyalists whose only attribute is loyalty to party or leader, and not constitution. What could go wrong?
Here's some quotes:
"Sounds great!" - Adolf Hitler
"Wonderful idea - wish I got onto that earlier!" - Benito Mussolini
"Just what the country needs!" - Joseph Goebbels
"Worked great for me - highly endorsed!" - Vladimir Putin
"It's the only way to go!" - Chairman Mao
"Government works best when their loyalty is bought from the end of a gun" - Ernst Rohm...

Ps I made up these quotes...but they make the point

Well, we've shown time and time again there's no political will to dismantle problem areas slowly and carefully. That's why we have boom and bust cycles in our economy. It's why our housing bubble will eventually come crashing down. It's why revolutions happen.
I'm not saying the U.S. bureaucracy is past the point of saving, but I'm certainly saying it looks bad.

...Trump is absolutely NOT the person I'd want rebuilding from the ashes though.

Looks like @Butler1000 finally gets his wish with a new right-wing government. LMAO
Their ideas are pretty much stupid. But this is the type of thing that happens to corrupt govt machines. The deep state isn't a "Star Chamberesque" cabal but a slowly developed group think where like minded people were promoted. Especially in the Intelligence services. Of which there are FOURTEEN. And due to the Patriot Act now have over a Trillion in money to play with including the use of Military. And all geared towards, in many departments, pleasing donors over serving voters.

So when a vacuum is created, in this case, a lack of anti corruption politicians, liars and this type have the ability to gain traction. And when they can get this organized, its because people see the vacuum, and know they can win.

As I keep saying, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better. Its just history, continuing its repetition. Last century it was Robber Barons, this century a new donor class. In both cases, rich vs poor, and not left vs right.

I was down in the USA last week on vacation. And pretty much every citizen I spoke with, when politics came up asked the same questions, from service workers, to retirees.

Why are prices so high, food and gas? And why are we sending billions to Ukraine and not helping our own people in Hawaii and the rest of the nation? Brown people considering Trump. Women consideting Trump.

I saw the same signs in 2015.

I'm sure they are but I highly doubt it. As a matter of fact, I will add, Trump would be decimated in a general election.

In 2016 he was an unknown and Hillary was despised by many, he hadn't destroyed pro-abortion rights, hadn't enriched his friends yet. hadn't been indicted 4 times, hadn't been Putin's puppet yet, and the list goes on. BTW, how was the red sweep, oh yeah, it never happened because of who?? Hmmmmm, okay there BUTT, you keep cheering for him, and let's see who's right.

Dude, I'm not cheering for him, I'm speaking in reality as a someone without an emotional stake in it. Biden is not popular, and there is no way to turn that around now.

And what you listed isn't what most Americans care about. They care about Mortgages, gas prices and food prices. And see money spend elsewhere.

And this is why he might win. I wasn't but even so, this dismissal of 10 of millions Americans and their concerns is what gives Trump a lane.
