Agreed!

Unfortunately, your cult members south of the border will cause the "Anyone but Hilary" curse that elected Trump is gonna come back to re-elect Biden over Trump.

While rabid Trump cult of personality members are killing off any viable GOP nominee, they don't amount to nearly enough actual voters to elect Trump. The average small c conservative voters are as disgusted with him and his narcissistic drama reality show as Dems and moderate undecided voters.

You are obsessed with fringe lunatics like Trump and Chris Sky. Most people see them as selfish lunatics.
I think when the trial occurs will be a factor. And what else gets released in the lead up, and is released during the trial.

People will draw conclusions.

Why would there be a fucking trial, Buddy?

Both the defence and the Feds want to cut a deal.

Yes, but the DOJ and Hunter's lawyers were literally working together, and still couldn't get the plea agreement right. And we both know, that Garland gets the final approval over everything the DOJ does in the Hunter case, and both sets of lawyers screwed up!!
Mitchy, I don't know enough about US criminal law to figure that out. You need an American law degree and a few years practising crim law in the States to follow the puck on that. And YOU have absolutely no idea at all.

Who knows if any of Trump's trial will occur before the election. I hope the DoJ and Judges stop fucking around trying to delay his day in court to prove his innocence.

Even CNN (who I'm not a big fan of), said none of this makes sense??

I believe that Weiss, a conservative Trump appointee, was getting severe criticism from his fellow conservatives over the plea deal such that when the judge rejected it he buckled under this pressure and tried to negotiate a stricter plea deal with Hunter’s lawyers. My guess is that Hunter’s team told them to go pound sand and so now they are going to trial.

The request by Weiss for the Special Counsel designation may be to allow him to prosecute cases outside of Delaware although Weiss had previously claimed he could get local prosecutors to do it if necessary. This makes me think that the local prosecutors looked at the case and said No and did not want to touch it (probably because it is weak).

Apparently, the Special Counsel designation is going to allow Weiss to conduct a “probe” into other possible crimes (eg money laundering). It seems to me that if they can’t prove anything after 5 years worth of investigation then there is probably not much of a case.

I just see this as a cynically political move by Weiss to save his own skin from the angry MAGA base who will accept nothing less than Hunter Biden’s public execution.

Well, I watch all the US lawyers on you tube talking about this "botched " Hunter agreement, so I'm getting a pretty good idea, of what went on!!

The US courts tend to move quicker. I think they all come up during Primary season.

7 years ago when Trump got elected I said his crass corruption and bull in a china shop obviousness would piss off Washington and their neat and tidy graft machine. But that exposing Trump would carry over.

Now the biggest Nepobaby is headed to trial. A plea deal denied. This is unprecedented. And could be the spear tip of a nasty tit for tat coming. There are lots of nepobabies who owe their positions to an elected parent's name and access. Abd politicians are easily driven to revenge. Its in their nature. Power corrupts and creates entitlement.

Let them all end up in court. The actual verdicts matter less than the daily drip to a mass media. And continued voter disgust.

In the 70's about 80% of the population registered for the two parties. That has declined to 60%, split between the two. Get that below 50% and a third party has a chance.

At least we get the watch the rich eat each other.

I’d like to think that the trial will play a role in shaping peoples’ opinions but I’m not sure that it will. I believe most people have their minds made up by now?

Hallucinations aren't evidence. The other morning Steve Ducey came right out and asked Comer what exactly was the crime Joe Biden committed and Comer said, I essence, "we're working on it."

Exactly…but the GOP don’t care. They will just keep repeating the same talking points over and over.

No you're not. You're filling in the blanks based on the crap you're being fed. The actual issues appear to be very technical and complicated.

The laws are wonderfully set up to protect the politicians. Why do you think Trump and family got away with shit.

I think the USA system counted on the fact that men of good character would hold such men responsible and remove them. They did not count on political parties that would protect the unethical or the law breakers. The Ds still resign or get ousted, but no longer the Rs. It used to be reversed at the local levels.

Diane Feinstein? Sinema? Manchin? There are more.

It's been like this forever. The Robber Barons had their bought politicians. Getting Statehoods recognized needed greased palms. The Kennedys. On and on. Power corrupts.

The solution is term limits(notice the only time it was implemented was to limit a reformer) , no family or ex politicians allowed to be lobbyists, and a multi party system.
