"Suicide doesn't solve your problems. It only makes them infinitely, un-countably worse." - Sinead O'Connor

Worth noting her 17yo son died by suicide in 2022

Poor chick she had mental issues, became Muslim. Good voice and she looked good when younger.

Suicide happens often in the entertainment business. The high they get when they are on stage can be better than drugs or alcohol. She has been around for a while and maybe she does not get the gigs she use to get. There was no cause of death given at the time of the announcement of her passing, so it was not due to health issues.

The best quote that I ever heard about suicide is this:

suicide happens when the fear of living overcomes the fear of dying.

you can be ritch, seemingly having a good life, whatever…

when life suddenly breaks you down, money, fame all goes out the window. They are just as vulnerable as us “normal people”.

Life is extremely tough to navigate, no matter your situation

I'm surprised she lasted this long to be honest. She was not a healthy person either mentally or physically. Sad because she was a very talented singer and musician. Her first two albums were very good.

True.

Based on a review in Uncut Magazine, I bought the Lion and the Cobra upon its' release It sounded different than any other album I'd heard to that point.
