I think I heard the Norwegians have equipment that can raise submarines.
According to Google the maximum depth for a military sub is 5,000 feet, and most subs can't dive anywhere close to that. At 12,500 feet down I'd be surprised if the Norwegian equipment could do the job.

I think the only hope is that their communication equipment has failed, but they're bobbing on the surface somewhere and the search planes will locate them.

If they're on the ocean floor I'm afraid they're done for :(

Father and son among the trapped. I can't imagine how much
worse it is seeing your child die with you than dying alone.

There are 2 billionaires on board. Shahzada Dawood and Hamish Harding.

My guess is the sub sprang a small leak and imploded.
Death wouldve been very quickly. They probably never knew what hit them

A bad story, they're rushing to find them, but unless they have a device that produces oxygen they're fucked
They had 4 days of oxygen on board.
Its now day 2, so if they're still alive they have 2 more days

The first thing that came to mind when I heard about the vessel (which is the size of a minivan), is when you open the door to the toilet after taking a shit, does the smell waft throughout? What about farts?

If the submersible is located somewhere on top of the Titanic
wreck at this time its crew will still stand very little chance to
survive. It is going to be real tough for a submarine to pull off
the feat of bringing it back up to the surface of the sea. There
is a reason submarine is called iron coffin.

I remember the Kursk incident.

"Once officially informed, the British government, along with France, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Norway, offered help,[11] and the United States offered the use of one of its two deep submergence rescue vehicles, but the Russian government refused all foreign assistance.[27] Minister of Defence Igor Sergeyev told the American Embassy that the rescue was"

"Mr. Harding told the magazine the Titanic dive was meant to take place in June 2022 but was delayed because "the submersible was unfortunately damaged on its previous dive". He said no one was injured in the incident."

Maybe they didn't get all the bugs out.

My guess is this will soon be a recovery operation. I don't think they'll find any survivors.

Probably a catastrophic failure when they didn't even have a chance to drop the ballast. RIP

If they find them, which I doubt, it would make a great movie.
Somebody's already using ChatGPT to write the script.

Was there a mothership that let them in the water? They should know where they are.
"The submersible had been in the area to explore the wreck of the Titanic when it lost contact on Sunday morning with a chartered research ship at the dive site. At the time, the 22-foot-long vessel was more than halfway into what should have been a two-and-a-half-hour dive. The submersible is thought to be equipped with only a few days’ worth of oxygen."

So the question is, did communications simply fail and they can't contact the ship, or has the thing imploded? Does anyone know when it was supposed to resurface? The dive down was only supposed to take 2.5 hours. Either way, time is running out.

Being a thrill seeker by nature, I love dangerous activities and sports. There are however some things I simply won't do. Skydive, bungee jump, take a rocket to space or a vessel to the bottom of the ocean. Oh, and have unprotected sex with a stranger. ;)
