I find 5 or 6 hours and I feel energetic all day. However I'm off work a few months now so I will sleep longer as I have nothing to do. I'll sleep another 3 hours or so and feel sluggish all day. What is your sweet spot? Looks like I'll have to exercise early morning to change things up.

Tracking it with fitbit, mostly 5-6 hours, usually up at 4:30-5 ish. I'd like more but doesn't seem to be happening in the last 6 months. Seem to be getting decent REM & deep sleep but definitely tired by 9pm.

A little more than 7 and a half hours. Often feel like I need more. I run to work in the morning which gives me more sleep time and probably helps my sleep quality.

6 hours sleep is less for me. 7 to 8 hours is ideal without any noise or interruptions.

Some people are early birds, others are night owls. I’d say I’m an exhausted pigeon.

More seriously, I don’t think I sleep enough definitely less than 7 hours a night, but I don’t feel tired when I wake up.

I will however nap in the afternoon

I’ve managed to live off 5 hours most of my life. Can count how many sunrises I’ve missed in the last 20 years on one hand.

doesn’t matter how exhausted I am and what time I go to bed. I will wake up somewhere between 3-4am every day. In winter it’s worse, some days up 2-2:30am.

On average, 6-7 hours. I can sometimes function normally on 3-5 hours for a day or two, but it will catch up with me, and I'll need a nap to catch up.
Having nothing (or less) to do will definitely cause you to sleep more, but no guarantees that you'll get better rest.
Try to stay busy with other things during your day, and you'll probably get better sleep.

I get about 6 1/2 hrs of sleep, with occasional afternoon power naps of 15-20 minutes. I find if my power naps are longer than that, I stay up way too late and only get about 4 hrs of sleep.

I need at least 8 hours of solid sleep and since I wake up a few times during the night I make sure I get at least 8 hrs 30 min to 9 hrs to compenssate. So it looks like I have 3 or 4 hrs in a day less than most people since I require more sleep time.

Unfortunately, I will inevitably fall asleep in the late afternoon or evening if I'm watching TV. Which of course makes it harder to fall asleep later at night. I get up at least once a night to pee as well, and have mild sleep apnea, which may also account for why I fall asleep while watching TV. Sucks to be old...

My total sleep time every 24 hours may be 8 or 9 hours, but no idea how much of that is quality "deep REM" sleep...

The lack of motivation may be playing a role. I know occasional weekends I'll sleep almost 12 h then want to take a nap mid-afternoon.

Usually sleep 7 h. Stress plays a role in how effective it is and I'm not a morning person. I think sleeping from 2AM to 10AM would be ideal for me.
