Why do new immigrants want to come to Toronto for ? It's not like they can survive in Toronto. Even non immigrants can afford to live in Toronto. They will be in shitty apartments for the rest of their lives. And probably working at Tim Hortons or some other crappy job.

At least if they move to Saskatchewan or New Brunswick they could afford to survive.

I am an immigrant (now citizen). I live right here in downtown Toronto and earn in 6 figures. Many of my friends have even purchased homes in the GTA and settled down within a year or two of coming, so it depends who you are, what you do, where you want to live and how much you earn. Toronto happens to be the largest city and one with most opportunities.

Not to tricky. People prefer to go to places where they can find someone who speaks their language and share some cultural connections. It's about support network.

The other question is whether there are enough jobs in those places where someone without Canadian credentials can earn an income.

I would agree. The fact is the immigrants Make the native Workforce obsolete.

Imagine if the Canadian Olympic teams are open to anyone for anyone in the world. Many countries make half as much or 1⁄10 So rather get gold for Madagascar India they Try out for the Canadian team. if Everything is = The gold medalist of Canada is competing for that slot I guess 20 other gold medals. The silver and bronze aren't even in the running team anymore. They are obsolete.

This is not even considering the Immigrant The age is like 10 times what they expect Add they get to live in a safe culture. If there are woman They avoid sexism Worse than Canada's. Which means the slot that they are fight for Worth far More effort. So the chances are things will not even be =.

Sure a majority of immigrants It's a bad move. What the machine just wants meat.

Dude, like 90% of the world is a complete shit hole and the people would do anything to get here.

Plus immigrants are not all created equal.

I live in New Brunswick, and can tell you that the immigration rate here has skyrocketed in the last few years. You can actually afford a detached house here.
Are auto mechanics affordable in New Brunswick? Asking for a mechanically-disinclined friend. ;)

I came here as an immigrant, and first settled in Oakville. I could pretty much decide where I wanted my family to live.

My question is Why do you assume that all immigrants are poor to begin with?

It's common knowledge that coming to Toronto makes you poor. As part of the point system wealth Is Look at as a positive for my immigration. Any professional Immigrating to Toronto or Canada in general Find the qualifications to be useless and I have to reupline and start. Not entirely true. A doctor for example can go right to medical school they don't have to do bachelors. Well that's still 6 years of education Or at least 2 That they won't be making any money and fact will have to pay money to get qualifications. There is nothing more demoralizing Repeating things you already know. It might be easy in theory but it's really really hard and practice. Example if you're in grade school and somebody ask you what animal something is and you say it's a dog you're wrong because it's a doggy. Dog is the wrong answer. If you can play your a bad student.

Immigration another hand for students Taking classes in Canada is not different than anyone else. I didn't ask the family they come from likely to be very rich. Immigrates That I know personally I forget that back home they come from the upper class. If they get in trouble they can call daddy And get 100,000 large sums wired tothe bank account.

but their personal wealth Is Is student Level. ie poor.

And no matter What their wealth all immigrants must buy everything in scratch. Spoons for the kitchen Car House et cetera. And there's all the legal issues for moving to a new country. It's expensive to move to another country. Has someone who has Work abroad It's surprising When you realize you have nothing in the new country And spend your 1st year just buying stuff.

You are not taking in account that many people have family or friends here already.

They are not starting from scratch or ground zero.
