That's all true. Justin phoned me yesterday and told me that he himself has spend over 50 hours a week for the last year doing nothing but redesigning the passport specifically to piss you off. In fact, he and Sophie drew the artwork themselves deliberately in the way they knew would most annoy you.

Why are you so easily triggered by the re-design of a passport? It's document meant to get you in and out the country. I bet that until all of this faux outrage by people like you, most Canadians hadn't bothered to look past the page with their photo and that most didn't what the inside pages of the passport looked like.

I keep being amazed at how emotionally fragile these right wingers are.

Dude, these things get redesigned every so often.
Flora and fauna are pretty and perfectly fine as symbols of Canada.

In twenty years or so, the passports will get designed again and there will be a new choice about the interior theme.

I agree and while I took pause at the removal of Viimy Ridge Memoroal, I agree with making the passport more difficult to fake. It is not a big deal to me because most of the people looking at the passport don't care and if they are not Canadian - they really have no idea about the significance of the images anyway. The reality is that the only way someone outside the Canada recognizes a Canadian image in your passport is if the passport contains images such as Ryan Reynolds or Justin Beiber.

So do whatever - I don't look at the images and as long as it serves it's purpose, I'm happy.

Okay if you are right about Harper Gov't era, but I guess this is world thing to change passports over certain amount of time by every country. And it fell on Harper era to approve it. Would it be the Harper's Era to decide how it should look? or the World Order idea that each country must make it look like a theme?

Then why did it take 10 years for the change to take effect? This is the part I don't understand. Oh well.

I know license plates changes are decided by the Canada/US Motor agreement group. What ever they are called.
