Biden had control of all 3 branches (POTUS, Senate and House) of government in 2021 and 2022.
This means he could have passed almost any law he wanted.

Why didn't he pass any gun control laws??
Manchin? Filibusters? Trump's Supreme Court appointees? Oh, and that whole thing about most gun laws falling under State jurisdiction.

And the GOP is still trying to push for even fewer regulations.

The filibuster is the best excuse ever to get nothing done. Yet somehow Trumps tax cuts went through, and the military budget passes with steady increases and no debate.
Bingo!!

You didn't acknowledge the reality. At anytime the Dems can solely bypass the filibuster and pass any legislation they want. Harry Reid did it to confirm judges.

And if they did so and passed legislation that continued to benefit citizens they would maintain power. But they won't. So its literally a choice not to go with a simple majority. Nothing is stopping them but themselves.
You keep on consistently attacking the Democrats for something that the roadblocks placed by the Republicans who are well financed by the NRA!! Bypassing this filibuster is not a commonplace norm in the Senate. Remember that Trump promised stronger Gun Control legislation in terms of background checks after the El Paso Mass Shootings, but did shit about it. In fact he even rolled back an Obama-era legislation with strict regulations for those mentally ill to purchase guns. This is now coming to haunt the various families that have lost their family members including young kids!!

You didnt answer my question. Here it is again:

Do you stand by your comment that Biden needs a constitutional amendment??
Hey Phil you go on and on like a worn record. Remember that the Supreme Court overruled any Federal Legislations with regards to the Second Amendment from being implemented at the State Level. Hence those at the State Legislatures have the right to retain the right to own guns even if some of the gun owners are mentally unstable. Remember that The Second Amendment is a Constitutional Right and yes if Biden has to repeal it then he needs a 2/3rds majority in both The House and The Senate:

ELVING: There is a process for it. It's right there at the end of the Constitution. So the Founding Fathers were at least willing to be edited. They just really made it hard. First, you need to get supermajorities in Congress, two-thirds in both the House and the Senate. And that's an enormous hurdle, especially in the Senate. But even if you get it through Congress, you still need to get your amendment ratified by three-fourths of the states. That's at least 38 states. That has happened only once in the last 40-plus years, and it's a big lift even before you start to talk about the popularity of guns and the power of the NRA.

But you still are not answering any question such as is it okay for Trump to promise further Gun Legislations but not deliver on those promises??

Liz Cheney will do what is right for America. Do her best to persuade Republicans from ever voting him back into power:

Liz Cheney rolls out anti-Trump ad ahead of CNN town hall
Cheney's political action committee is airing a Jan. 6-inspired ad in New Hampshire at the same time that CNN is hosting a Trump town hall in the state.

Still missing the point. They can at anytime bypass the filibuster. And CHOOSE not to. So yes when they hold all the lvls of govt and don't bypass it its at their feet.

With reference to the Second Amendment just put on your reading glasses and go to Post #108 where it states that:

So you think the only way to get gun control in is repealing the 2nd amendment.

Ok so that will never happen. Ever. So then quit whining about it. Because its not a few GOP politicians who oppose that. Its half the nation.

But I believe they can legislate in federal gun control measures. They just don't want to. They would rather fundraise from it then actually solve it.

Biden doesn't need to repeal the 2nd amendment just for an assault rifle ban, he would only need it to ban all firearms period.

Clinton enacted an assault rifle ban in 1994 and he never had to repeal the 2nd amendment to do it

Because it is the Repugs in Congress who are opposing gun control
When Biden controlled all 3 branches of government he didn't need Republican approval.

It's amazing how none of you lefties understand how the US government works.
I'm not surprised though 😂
