I am not an expert on gasoline engines, but I thought that the modern high efficiency engines run with excess air mixture, and a lower combustion temperature, which I would think would create less NOx.
Running an engine with stoichiometric greater than 1 Lambda (excess O2) increases combustion temperature and decreases the time required for combustion. If you run with a high enough Lambda (lots of excess O2) you get engine detonation which is an explosion rather than combustion. With higher engine temperatures and excess O2 you produce more NOx, there is no leftover fuel to react with the excess O2 and the high temperatures will force Nitrogen to react with the excess O2.

A modern car engine, warmed up and at idle, produces so little CO that it is barely measurable.
The widely spread use of catalytic converters, which decrease the amount of CO in the exhaust fumes from 3.5 to ca. 0.5%,

0.5% is measurable

carbon monoxide is deadly >200 ppm

0.5% > 200 ppm

Climate alarmist are not necessarily lying. I actually believe alarmists
such as Antonio Guterres indeed believe what they are saying. The more
timely message is to explain to climate sheeple to stop listening to an alarmist
like the UN chief Gueterres not because he is a liar but because he is a
lunatic. Hopefully climate sheeple will wake up to the lunacy of alarmists
and deception of politicians such as Trudeau, Biden and Anthony Albanese
who prey on their gullibility to win votes. Until then
I am afraid I have to exercise caution when arguing over climate change.
In some settings I have to refrain from telling sheeple we must cut back
on driving and flying not because of climate change but to conserve Earth's
dwindling fossil fuel resources.

Farmers who use hothouses, actually pump CO2 into them to increase the yields of their crops.
You just defined the Greenhouse Effect.
That is the exact mechanism that is warming the planet.

Congrats, you confirmed you believe the science.

Scientist you ain't, that's for sure. They pump in the CO2 not to raise the temperature. They do that to provide nutrient for the plant.

Ok, my bad.
They add CO2 because plants take ambient CO2 and turn it into oxygen.

But what you did do is prove that changing the amount of a gas you call 'trace' has a large impact.
Which is exactly the same argument you say is impossible with the atmosphere.
So you still lose.

Changing the amount of CO2 in the air can have big impacts.

Two climate clowns of our own just came home from a virtue signalling
vacation. It is interesting to note that India and UAE are among the guests
in the event. Perhaps next year Putin would send a representative over to
sell to G7 members in need of discount Russian oil like India.

Ministers Guilbeault and Wilkinson wrap up G7 Ministers' Meeting in Japan focused on climate action, clean energy, and nature protection

Apr 17, 2023

The Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, and the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Natural Resources, have concluded this year's G7 Ministers' Meeting on Climate, Energy, and Environment, which took place in Sapporo, Japan, from April 15–16.

The Ministers came to champion increased ambition on climate action, nature protection, and pollution reduction, while at the same time advancing global energy security and seizing economic opportunities for Canadian businesses, workers, communities, and Indigenous peoples.

Made new commitments, championed by Canada, to report by the end of the year on the progress to phase out fossil fuel subsidies and international fossil fuel finance. Canada has already ended international fossil fuel finance and is committed to phasing out fossil fuel subsidies by the end of 2023 ahead of the G7's 2025 commitment and called on others to do the same.
Committed to accelerate the phase-out of unabated fossil fuels in combustion applications and called on other non-G7 countries to do the same, consistent with Canada's 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan and the need to apply large-scale decarbonizing technologies and practices to achieve net-zero.
Reiterated its goal to phase out unabated coal power generation consistent with a 1.5oC compatible future. As the co-chair of the Powering Past Coal Alliance, Canada is committed to phasing out unabated coal by 2030, and advocated over the weekend for the G7 and all Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries to follow.
Advanced a goal to decarbonize each country's respective power sector by 2035 and welcomed the ambitious collective renewable energy targets of 150 gigawatts for offshore wind and 1 terawatt for solar photovoltaic power by 2030. In this year's Budget, Canada has committed historic clean-energy investments and tax credits supporting good paying jobs, affordability, and clean growth.
Recognizing that critical minerals are essential to a secure energy transition, G7 countries affirmed that strong environmental, social, and governance standards are vital to align global security and sustainability goals and endorsed a Five Point Plan for Critical Mineral Security, which builds on Canada's leadership with the Sustainable Critical Minerals Alliance.
Encouraged the use of taxonomies for sustainable finance, and noted the work being undertaken by some G7 members to develop such taxonomies to enable investment decisions to align with climate objectives.
Reiterated common commitments and called for increased climate ambition through the implementation of carbon markets and pricing initiatives like the Global Carbon Pricing Challenge, accelerating the phase-out of thermal coal, reducing methane emissions, and using nature-based solutions.
On the margins of the ministerial, Minister Wilkinson participated in a Nuclear Energy Forum co-hosted by Japan and the US, where nuclear industry players agreed to a Joint Statement on Nuclear Industrial Cooperation.

On environmental protection and pollution reduction, Canada and G7 countries:

Celebrated the historic adoption of the the Kunming-Montréal Global Biodiversity Framework and urged all countries to support its swift and full implementation and urgently develop and publish plans to implement their biodiversity commitments, including protecting at least 30 percent of land and water by 2030, both nationally and globally.
Reaffirmed their commitment to halt and reverse forest loss and land degradation by 2030.
Committed to support global efforts to mobilize financial resources from all sources to demonstrate progress to close the global biodiversity finance gap and pushed for the successful launch of the Global Biodiversity Fund in Vancouver at the Global Environment Facility Assembly later this year.
Committed to end plastic pollution by 2040 and agreed to continue to work together toward an ambitious new international binding agreement on plastic pollution, including at the upcoming negotiations in May.
During the ministerial, Minister Guilbeault announced that Canada would contribute over $5 million to the United Nations Environment Programme to help ensure inclusive, equitable, and transparent negotiations toward an ambitious and effective legally-binding global agreement on plastic pollution and other key priorities, including nature-based solutions and methane reduction.

It’s May and snowing in high-altitude areas of Himachal

Shimla: It’s May and the high-altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh are still receiving snowfall, making the hill destinations more picturesque.

The unseasonal precipitation in the state has pushed down the mercury by several notches, weather experts said on Wednesday.

Tourist spots near Shimla like Kufri and Narkanda have experienced moderate to heavy rains. However, nearby destinations of Manali and Kalpa, 250 km from the capital, witnessed mild spells of snow.

According to HP Traffic, Tourists and Railways Police, heavy snowfall in the Chanshil area blocked roads with one feet snow. “Two JCBs deployed to clear snow and 30 vehicles stranded. Efforts are underway to clear the snow from the road surface,” it said.

“High altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu, Kinnaur, Chamba, Sirmaur and Shimla districts have been experiencing moderate snow since Sunday,” a Met official told IANS here.

Widespread rain in mid and low hills, accompanied by thunder and strong winds, along with snow in the higher reaches across the state, brought the minimum temperature several notches below normal, a weather official told IANS.

Picturesque tourist resort Dalhousie saw 80 mm rainfall, the highest in the state. Kothi saw 61 mm rainfall, while Dharamsala 51 mm and Manali 45 mm. Gondla in Lahaul-Spiti district saw 2 cm snow.

The wet conditions across the state are expected to continue at least till Sunday, owing to the influence of another western disturbance hitting the region on May 5 night.

The state capital Shimla, which saw the night temperature at 8.5 degrees Celsius, recorded 8.3 mm rain.

In Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district, a minimum temperature of 1.6 degrees Celsius was recorded, the coldest in the state.

Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a minimum of 5.8 degrees.

The weather gods are not cooperating with the climate grifters this spring, that's for sure. Frigging cold and wet right into May.
If you were paying attention you'd have noticed that 3 years of La Nina have ended and we are moving into what could be a super El Nino.
