Mike Trout was the 25th pick in the 2009 Major League Baseball June Draft.

a) Whom did the Toronto Blue Jays select, with pick #20?

b) Which former Blue Jay was selected by the Angels with pick #24?

c) Pick #25 was compensation from the Yankees, for signing which former Angel as a Free Agent?

(answer one, two or three of these).

a) Marcus Stroman
b) Randal Grichuk
c) Mark Teixeira

b) Randal Grichuk and c) Mark Teixeira are correct.

Teixeira was traded from the Atlanta Braves to the Angels on July 29, 2008. Under current rules, their would have been no draft pick compensation when he was lost through free agency, because he was traded during a year in which his contract was expiring.

Marcus Stroman WAS drafted in the 2009 Major League June Draft, but not by the Jays. The Washington Nationals selected him out of high school in the 18th round, but he elected to play College ball at Duke. Toronto chose him with the 22nd pick of the 2012 Draft.

Who was the first Major League Baseball player to have a contract paying him more than $200,000 per season?

Hank Aaron

There is some debate about when Hank Aaron first had a contract paying him $200,000 or more. As per The Sporting News Guide, it was the 1972 season, but the Bill James Historical Abstract lists his 1972 salary at $165K, and The Sporting News says $175K. I give a Correct! to K Douglas for this question, but...

... who was paid $200,000+ in 1973.

I remember seeing this question in the past. I can remember Lamp was one for sure, that dude was lights out (no pun intended). The 2nd one has me a bit stumped its either Acker, Caudill or Henke.

1) Dennis Lamp
2) Jim Acker
Lamp went 11-0 coming out of the 'pen.

Gretzky-Oilers and Kings is an obvious answer

If it's all time , gonna have to go with George Armstrong, if it's active leafs , no clue.
Oops, sorry I should have specified which Leaf on the current roster. I'll correct the original post. My apologies.
