Cannon is likely a better answer than Columbo because Cannon was an actual series, while Columbo was a series of mystery movies. Semantics...LOL
Of note: The network wanted Columbo as a weekly series, Falk did not want to commit all his time to TV, so a compromise was reached, a tv movie once a by month.
