On the eve of the Super Bowl in Phoenix, hall of famer Michael Irvin returned to his hotel after drinks with his buddies. At the elevator, he met a Marriot female staffer. The lady promptly went to her management with an account of what transpired. Irvin was ejected from the hotel and the episode reported to NFL. His participation in the Super Bowl was terminated by the NFL Network and he was yanked from ESPN's "First Take." His media career now hangs in the balance.

Irvin denied anything untoward happened. He said he had a brief 60 second or so conversation with the lady and they shook hands and went their separate ways, an account backed by his friend. He subsequently launched a $100 million defamation suit against the hotel and the lady.

The problem for Irvin is he denied knowledge of anything until he was told there was video of the encounter. Then he said he doesnt remember what he said. If he doesnt remember what he said, then the lady's account will stand, unless his friend can offer rebuttal.

I dont know what Irvin said to the lady. But this is an era where men have to be extraordinarily careful in our interactions with females. Sweetheart, honey, babe, etc. are no longer appropriate, if they ever were. And no compliments under any circumstance. You could lose your job and be at the end of a nasty lawsuit.

You seem somehow surprised you can't objectify women. Glad I don't work where you do. Oh wait, if you do objectify women, you won't be working there much longer.

If Irvin was drunk that night, he's fucked.....

One of his rules, he never goes into an elevator alone with a female.
Probably not safe with a male/trans either.

Our company used to have bi-annual office parties but no more. Too much risk/liability. First they cut out the alcohol. Now they cut out the parties as well. Instead, we are given a gift card. Yes, we also have a "no hugging" policy.

Since we don't know what happened between the two that's quite the conclusion you have jumped to.

It's as though they don't want people socializing anymore, interesting. Gift cards though.😂

You should see what they do for people in the banking industry. Girl I know through her family member, works at RBC Capital Markets, everyday a catering service comes in and they go downstairs and treated to real good food.
They also get a monthly allowance of $200-$250 for ordering at home if there are days where they stay home and work. The parties they go to are lavish, they had one before the Christmas party and it was held at a private residence near Ford Drive and Lakeshore in Oakville. The homes in that area scream money if anyone isn't familiar with the area. I think I left out something else that I can't remember at the moment.
But I'd be happy with a gift card myself.

He was an excellent receiver.

He's also a loudmouth and seems pretty arrogant. He also doesn't seem too smart based this event as well as how he sounds on TV.

And to think… Kobe actually had sex with the front desk girl (maybe even rape)… and he, the team, the league, and all his adoring fans didn’t bat an eyelash.

Irving is not the reason the network is making money. He is disposable at this point. If you are a star athletes and the team and league need you… they will go after the accusers.

At work or in a 12 step program I don't want to shake hands or hugs or hold hands unless it is the same sex.

She is in the wrong department. The higher ups spend more than that from what I hear from the husbands or secretaries.

Michael Irvin should have hired a recent college grad from Law / Security program. This person would follow him everywhere that way he always has a witness. Jesse Ventura had his guard at all times.

Here is a video, not sure if it is thee video. He does appear to say fuck twice and the women were sitting and don't appear to be looking for his attention. He is entertaining but also a loudmouth.

Looks like a typical bar scenario, women at a table and a drunk guy walks up and harrasses them. All speculation at this point.

Yah, but not bad for a 20 year old, smart and smoking hot. She just started a year ago, I'm sure she'll get all kinds of invites and perks at some point.

You know what I don't understand - if you are looking for companionship - you have money - go pay for it like we all do. Better yet - have your PR rep hire someone waiting in your room all naked and ready to go. All NDA's signed and sealed. Begin intense fucking! I have only one shot so it wouldn't be intense but still consider it fucking. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

This is a good thing. A lot of women would feel more comfortable riding the elevator alone.
I travel often for work. There is always elevators that are broken. It takes forever! I take it when it's there with whoever is on it. That said I now ask for lower level room so I also simply take the stairs...

It never ever crossed my mind that it could be a problem..

It shouldn't be. This is why I never talk to anyone especially in elevators. I just awkwardly look up at the ceiling or stare at my phone's home screen (while having my dirty thoughts of course) :ROFLMAO:
