The group that regulates the practice of medicine in Ontario says it is limiting public access to its buildings due to safety concerns.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario says it has been receiving up to 200 emails a month consisting of serious threats against staff and council members.
The public can now observe the group’s quarterly council meetings via a livestream, as the college says its safety is a priority.
In an email to The Canadian Press, a spokesperson for the college sent excerpts of some messages it has received in recent months.
Some messages indirectly threaten the group’s members stating they should “settle their affairs.”
Others call the group “satanists” and “monsters” for encouraging injections of COVID-19 vaccines to curb the spread of the virus.
So your view is that the College should adjust its medical practice to accommodate the views and feelings of domestic terrorists?

He’s not going to win. You can’t be a member of the CPO and go around publicly embracing views that are the antithesis of the CPO’s standards and practices. The CPO is doing it’s job; this is exactly what it is supposed to do.

Let me explain it to you with an example I am sure you will understand: Remember when Liz Cheney got kicked out of the GQP for publicly stating that Trump tried to overthrow the government? You can’t be a member in good standing of the GQP and go around stating things that the party does not support.

Capische?
JP might beat the CPO in court. JP's got a top lawyer in Marie Henein, representing him.

Are you sure that is what you want? If a regulatory body makes decisions because they are being bullied and intimidated by domestic terrorists can we really take anything they say seriously?

Or is that exactly the point?
The CPSO is being questioned, not by domestic terrorists, but by common everyday canadian people. Thanks to the internet, the cryptic and secretive nature of the CPSO, is finally being exposed.

Using the threat of violence to accomplish political goals is the new hot tactic on the right.
It's very worrying.

Yes, that's exactly the point.

Yes, but he still should be allowed to attend school. He's already lost, most of his grade 11 year.
No he can't and this is fact! Same way you can't just say anything you want. Peterson more so because he is governed by his license and the promises he made to obtain his licence.

This makes up for an interesting case of an (imminent) person(ality)’s right to free speech versus his social responsibility in these evolving times..
How it unfolds further, is to be seen.

No, not really. They are only being questions by right wing radicals. The kind of folks that go into Ottawa, build bouncy castles and think they are welcomed.

Basically this 16 yr old kid, was just trying to protect scared female students, from having to endure male teens with penises, invading the woman's washroom. Why should the kid be kicked out of school, for that??

Maybe, this will teach the CPSO, to be more transparent.
I do appreciate that you aren't pretending you aren't advocating for violence, btw.
I disagree with the tactic -- or to be more clear, I think the bar to using violence should be high because it takes a lot to unwind it -- but at least you aren't pretending "if they feel physically threatened, they might do what I want' isn't what is going on here.

What actions did he take?

That's the question, right?

You say he shouldn't be kicked out of school for "trying to protect scared female students".

His intent - while part of what should be considered - isn't the whole ballgame here.
I'm sure you don't think that if he killed people for the sake of "trying to protect scared female students" he shouldn't be kicked out, right?
I'm taking the absurd case just so we can all agree there would be limits to what you would accept.

That said, what actions do you think should get someone a suspension?

No it's not violence. It's just angry people sending e-mails, to the CPSO. The CPSO is complaining they got 200 e-mails last month. Prior to this, the CPSO, probably received a total of 200 e-mails, in the last 10 years!!

IMHO, the school board is being ridiculous.

"200 emails a month consisting of serious threats against staff and council members" according to your own post.

So by your own admission, it has gone from 200 threats over the last 10 years to 200 threats a month.
That's an escalation in the threat of violence of 12,000%.
