No you don't. You just want that right for government employees only (and people wealthy enough to pay for armed security).

Perhaps you need to brush up on the whole "equality for all" thing.

The story behind that shooting:

Samuel Parsons-Salas carried out Sundayā€™s attack after being asked to leave a party for the bar ownerā€™s niece, Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said Tuesday.

There is actually a problem. The 24 hour never-ending news cycle means that whether it's FOX or CNN or NewsMax or MSNBC or the CBC or CTV News Channels, we're inundated with far more opinion than actual "news" - there are so many panel discussions everywhere with everybody expressing their opinion about things whether they have direct knowledge or not, and FOX has even outright admitted that shows like Tucker Carlson (who many people look to and believe) are actually more entertainment than news and that no one should take it seriously. But they do.

In this case, this was the exact problem - rather than simply reporting what happened, the 24 hour "news networks" have time to kill and not enough news to fill it so they get into speculation about what happened and why rather than just reporting the event.
This is, in fact, a huge problem, and not one that splits left or right.

We've discussed how you shouldn't make grand claims until more info comes in before with big news stories like this.

People need to realize left and right are on a circleā€¦.go too far either way and itā€™s the same shit. People are responsible for their actions, not a gun, not a knife, not a car, not alcoholā€¦.people. More social programs and proper education is needed.

A 67 year old Asian guy was arrested earlier for murdering 7 Chinese farm workers in San Francisco

Apparently there was also another one yesterday. That's 3 in California in like 2 days. Total of 19 people killed.

I hate guns too, but there's no chance in hell I would live in the states without one. I would not attend anything in public without armed LE in attendance. If I had kids and lived there, they wouldn't being going to any school without armed guards, and at this point all schools should have bullet proof glass with doors that automatically lock from the inside.

I have no idea how you get rid of all the guns in the U.S, but I think people are finally starting to get fed up and take this more seriously.

I agree that a lot more social programs are required. That and socialized healthcare. But that will takes time. In the meantime put an entire ban on guns it does not make any sense.

There are far too many weirdo's out there. And the pandemic is putting people in the street at a very fast pace.

Bill signed 6 months ago. Obviously gun-control didnt work here

You're kidding right? It's bill that does not control much. Does not even check for mental status.

The US has got the highest increase of gun related death in the world since 2020.

Iā€™m not sure what you are saying. Banning guns is not the answer. Bad people do bad things. Taking guns from normal people wonā€™t change that. If you could somehow magically I invent guns then sureā€¦However we live in the real world and need practical solutions not delusional fantasies.
