There is a long-standing bias in many scientific circles against people who are too into being "public intellectuals" or who mainly focus on writing things for the general audience and not actually working in the "serious" parts of the field. Peterson admits he doesn't have a clinical practice anymore and he doesn't do research anymore, which fits in with that profile.
He worked in the "serious" parts of the field for decades. He has every right to make what he learned accessible to the general public. He's spreading the work of intellectuals to the public and should be applauded for it.

These are both brilliant men and their words are sophisticated and nuanced. ...
Lots of brilliant people out there. Doesn't make them right or even sane (Tesla with his pigeons for example).

Chomsky is a brilliant, well spoken person. Does that mean you think his commentary on social and political issues are correct too?

If we accepted the ludicrous argument that JP and AT primarily to incels, what is the alternative? Rather than have successful men telling incels to become better,...
???

Seems like these guys are giving incels justifications and making them dig further in to their antisocial tendencies for the sake of making money.

Except that's not what he does. Instead he endorses a shopping list of alt lite grievances that are outside his areas of expertise and comments on those from his position as a qualified psychologist. That seems to be the gist of the CPO's discipline proceeding.

Cars= GONE
Expensive watches and jewelry= GONE
Money= GONE

Please note the "G" in GONE

No... a portion of it is gone. A Top G doesn't put all his eggs in one basket nor in one country. That's the Intro to Top G 101 of finance. You will know it and live it when you become a Top G.

Further, if he is found innocent, his confiscated assets will be returned to him.

Romania has a broken legal system. It's not a good idea to champion it.

And he was a member in good standing for all that time.

This is where the CPO and you disagree.
I also don't think it is the whole story. I am just pointing out that the bias against speaking out beyond the field is likely a factor.
Of course, the other problem is that he isn't speaking out and making clinical psychology accessible to the general public, in their view.
Their complaints are about all the other things he talks about.

Why? Does it challenge my statement that this is far less news worthy than much of what is going on in the world?

Or does that freedom of speech not apply to editorial boards deciding on what stories to report on?
IMHO, JP is quite newsworthy. JP has over 15 million followers across all social media platforms. Also, it's quite unprecedented, that a couple of thousand of JP's followers actually protested, right across from the CPO at 110 Eglinton avenue West. The registrar of the CPO, probably had to take an extra few of his ulcer pills-----LMAO

He didn't practice, did he?
I thought he was a tenured prof, which likely means around $200k a year.
I'd expect the outrage he lives off is likely why he gave up tenure in the first place.

Most incels are males that can't get a companion for a relationship or get laid because they don't have the looks, wit, confidence, or social skills to attract a female partner.
Maybe. But Tate is the absolute worst kind of person for those kinds of guys to follow. Infact, Tate is someone every man, incel or not, should strive to NOT be like.

What explains your deep-seated hatred of incels? I think they're more deserving of sympathy but maybe I'm wrong.

If young men shouldn't strive for success, justice, and truth, what should they strive for?

What justice and truth are you going on about?

I think incels are incels because they are entitled jackasses that not just women, but most people would find distasteful. Just look at that Idaho serial killer. Or the guy who did the van attack.

If they need mental health help, sure, let them find help the right way.

But Tate, who is a pimping, woman abusing asshole, is the absolute worst person to emulate.

I think the term is losing its meaning. I've seen women call men with wives and children incels on platforms like Facebook.

Are the two murderers that you referred to representative of incels? Are you certain you're not conflating killers with a subset of males who wouldn't harm a fly but who can't obtain companionship due to their own shortcomings (perceived or real)?

Why do you think they're entitled jackasses? Why is there a stream of venomous vitriol that goes along whenever you mention the term incel?

JP is the right way. Tate is the right way. Neither are pimps and both believe that women should be cherished and protected.

Anecdotal one off incidents dont mean anything. I have literally never seen women call men incels, until someone does something to deserve it.

The murderous acts may not be representative, but the internal anger, the entitlement etc., very much are.

A small subset of incels may be men who lack confidence and can legitimately be helped, but a large majority of them are just assholes. That is why I dont have much respect for them.

JP is the right way. Tate is the right way. Neither are pimps and both believe that women should be cherished and protected.
You cannot put JP and Tate on the same platform. JP is controversial, and although some of what he says is acceptable, certain other points he makes is just grift.

Tate on the other hand, is a criminal. Tate is the right way? What are you smoking? Running a webcam operation, trafficking women, stealing their money by telling them he is paying taxes, beating them, abusing them, raping them, putting up bullshit courses on hustler university and ripping people off, illegally obtaining multiple passports - this is the "right" way to you? And you wonder why incels cant get laid. Illegally making millions and having a couple of whores on each hand, is not success and should never be emulated.
