Last year there were many exciting play-off games. Hopefully we are in for the same this year.

* Seattle (+9.5) vs. SF: I like the 49er's to win this game big. They are rolling and their defense is shut down material. 35-10

* LA vs. Jags (+1.5): Coin flip type game. I like the Jags at home, however they are so new to the playoff game. I believe they beat the Chargers earlier this season.

* Mia (+13.5) vs. Bills: Buffalo to win outright. Per the spread I think the Dolphins will keep it somewhat close.

* Giants (+3) vs. Minny: The Giants will win this game. I am not sold on Minny and in the playoffs defense usually steps up. I think the Vikes beat the Giants earlier this season.

* Bal (+9.5) vs. Ciny: The Bengals to win outright, however the Ravens will cover. Baltimore has a strong defense and should keep this somewhat close. Strange stat, the Ravens are 6-0 as a road wild card team.

* Dal vs. TB (+2.5): One of those I have no idea games. The Cowboys are not a good road team and TB has been hot/cold all season long. My guess is TB wins and covers because of home field. If the game was in Dallas I would take the Cowboys.

Should be a good weekend of football three straight days!

49ers/Seahawks - Closer game than most think, 49ers win but they don't cover.

Chargers/Jags - Chargers have the talent to win it all or get bounced early, Chargers win and cover....maybe.

Bills/Dolphins - Dolphins are started a 3rd string QB, Bills win and cover easily.

Vikings/Giants - Vikings get their act together at home and win.

Ravens/Bengals - Ravens defense gets tired being on the field all the time with the Ravens inept offense(no Lamar) and Bengals cruise.

Cowboys/Bucs - Dallas' D rises to the occasion and harass Brady, Cowboys win with a late TD.

Saturday

Seattle +9.5 at SF. The weather forecast in SF is for heavy rain, high winds and cool temperatures at game time. That favors a strong ground game and SF has that more than SEA. Lets not forget the recent history between these 2 teams as well. SF has owned SEA. I gotta go with the 49'ers here to win and cover. Not sure if I'll put $ down on it but I'll definitely put $ down on the under 40.5.

Jacksonville +2.5 vs. LA Chargers. I like the road team here to win and cover. The Chargers are finally healthy and their running game is churning. The Jaguars have had a good season but it ends on Saturday. Easy call for me.

Sunday

Miami +13 at Buffalo. Miami is on a 3rd string QB and barely squeaked into the playoffs. Logic dictates that they should get blown out of the stadium, right? Not so fast. These two teams have a long history and I expect that the Dolphins run game will be somewhat effective and that their defense will step up and keep their team at least respectable. Bills win but Fins cover.

NY Giants +3 at Minnesota. Vikings should win and cover. Giants had a great start to the season but in the 2nd half they went 3-5-1. Teams adjusted to the run game and Barkley's numbers tanked.

Baltimore +9.5 at Cincinnati. The Bengals have been the hottest team in the league and while I respect the Ravens D, without Lamar Jackson I can't see their offense faring well against a stout Cinci D at home in the cold. I'm not going to bet it but if I had to I'd take the Bengals to win and cover and I would definitely take the under on total pts.

Monday

Tampa Bay +2.5 vs. Dallas. The Bucs run D has reasserted itself and Brady seems to always elevate his game in the playoffs. The Cowboys are a better all around team but their strength is in the run game and that doesn't match up well here. So it comes down to Dak. If he is on is game the Boys will prevail. Would I bet on that, nope. I'm taking Brady and the Bucs as home dogs.

I hate Dallas and Tampa so I'm not betting that one.

In the other 5, ATS I'm going with all the home teams.

Awful coaching, period! Absolutley no excuses for blowing a 27 point lead.
Play calling and time managment was beyond questionable. Congrats to the guys who had the Jags, unfortunately for me i had the Chargers and it was damn painful to watch lol

Don't often see a game when you turn the ball over 5 times and win. Future looks good for the Jags and that young kid at QB.

He didn't look good yesterday. He was throwing right at the Chargers. There was one in the 4th that was also with a Charger directly between him and the receiver that could have easily been caught.

And then there is "Mr. Irrelevant" Brock Purdy, selected with the 262nd and final pick in the 2022 draft. The 49ers thought they had their QB of the future in Trey Lance, who they drafted with the 3rd pick of the 2021 draft. He goes on injured reserve this year. The previous starter veteran Jimmy Garoppolo also goes down. In steps Brock and all he does is win: 6-0 during the regular season and now an incredible playoff performance, 18-30, 332 yards, 4 TDs, when the pressure is immense. This could be Tom Brady stepping in when Bledsoe got injured and never surrendering the starting QB job. Brock Purdy is the greatest story in sports today. Amazing.

I agree, especially that missed interception in the 4th quarter which would have probably thwarted any chance of a comeback.

The Jags will not win their next game as they are a young team and make too many mistakes. However this experience should set them up to be a better prepared team mentally, in future years.

I hear you!

I think I felt that way when the Jays blew that big lead to the Mariners.
Or years ago in the playoffs in the 7th game vs the Bruins and the Leafs were up 3-0 with less than a period to go. Bruins 4-3 in OT. My grandfather could've coached the Leafs in that 3rd period and brought that game in. Come on man !

The worst part about the NFL playoffs is being forced to watch the Bell "Let's Talk" commercials.

Baltimore really screwed up. However, they almost managed immaculate reception 2.0.
