I haven't seen these gas ranges with an auto re-ignition system. Are they found on new or older gas ranges??
I have a 13 or 14 year old Miele gas cooktop. It's just burners. My oven is an electric built in.

The Miele cook top is a very solid unit. The burners all feature electronic ignition. I can blow the flame out on a buner on low with just with my lung power. Almost instantly, tap tap tap and the unit will relight itself. If it doesn't, the unit will cut the gas flow.

I can also light the unit with a match should the electronic ignition fail. Turn the control knob on, press down to manually bypass the safety protocols and the gas will flow. Bring the light up to the burner and ignite the gas. Hold the knob down for a few seconds and then release. If the burner fails to remain lit, the unit cuts the gas.

Regardless of ethnicity/religion/culture I think bride/wife/widow burnings are deplorable. Apparently, this practice is still happening.

Gas stoves have an open flame so could be useful in bride burning. Anyway, E.I. brides and wives should be careful around flame in any case. Actually, any bride regardless of ethnicity/religion/ culture should be careful around open flame. Better to be safe than burned.

One of my relatives suffered burns when her dress caught on fire. Had to undergo a skin graft. Not fun.

You do realize that the most common cause of house fires is electrical fires.

Natural gas leaks are at the bottom of the list.
Cooking is the #1 cause of house fires according to the insurance companies. That makes sense since it's easy to forget something on the stove top and burn the food inside. I guess that would still be a risk with induction cooktops.

World Economic Forum linked Company Behind Sudden Push to Ban Gas Stoves

The abrupt push by Democrats led by the Biden Regime to ban gas stoves has enraged and confused Americans across the country. The good news is we may have found the primary culprit behind the push and it’s connected to the World Economic Forum.

RedState.com, which first broke this story, points out prominent Democrats and liberals never demonstrated an iota of concern over gas stoves before. Not even noted low-IQ Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who made an utter fool of herself by claiming a study shows gas stoves are dangerous to brain health.

A major Twitter leftist named Max Kennerly also got in on the act pushing the supposed dangers of cooking with gas. Like AOC, he had never tweeted about gas stoves before.

So why the manufactured outrage over gas stoves? Where did this study AOC cited come from? RedState.com has the answer:

“Regardless, it’s worth asking where this is all coming from, right? Why did Democrats all start moving in lockstep to ban gas stoves, seemingly with no prior concern at all? And sure enough, with a little digging, it’s been revealed that this isn’t just idle science taking place.”

“The company behind the study is called “Carbon-Free Buildings.” That company is a partner of the World Economic Forum and has a true-believer CEO who wants to rid the world of all carbon emissions (which is impossible and would lead to mass extinction).”

Is it racist/bigoted/politically incorrect to condemn bride/wife burning?

It is racist and bigoted to bring this up, when the discussion is about gas stoves in Canada.

We aren't discussing about social evils in this world in this thread. If you wanted to do that, why dont you start with condemning social evils in Canada, where you live - for example, say racist practices like talking about unrelated bride burning incidents when the discussion is about gas stoves in Canada.

Looks like you have an axe to grind with Indian people.

Darts, Darts, Darts. You are getting quite the reputation as a less than tolerant person when talking about visible minorities. (I'm politely avoiding the "R" word.) You also love to post about crimes committed by visible minorities as well. You're getting quite a following and rightfully so.

This is nothing new for him. Darts has been cultivating his despicable anti-minority image for quite some time. That's why I gave him my tag line a few years ago and he hasn't stopped.

Darts: "Wouldn't bother me one bit if they cancel the NBA. Too few players look like me. " He runs away and refuses to answer what that comment means every time I've asked.

Actually, he comes by his racist posts honestly as almost every post of his references his beloved Quebec/Montreal. The province of Quebec is widely regarded as the most racist province in the country. I've heard horror stories about racist behaviour there. You can take the Darts out of the province (unfortunately) but you can't take the provincial traits out of Darts.

Keep up the good work. You may have to change your handle yet again. How many times have you been kicked off so far Blackie?

@shack I appreciate you calling out this schmuck Dart.
Quebec is a racist province. Irrespective of one's race, if you don't speak French they look down on you like garbage.
Now double the arrogant attitude if you are non white and do not speak French.
These ignorant a-holes openly say they are French and not Canadians.

There are people who have been and are making efforts to curb bride burning, but no surprise, are meeting resistance and so the practice continues.

"There are current governmental initiatives to criminalize bride burning and grassroots organizations working to combat the practice, as well as international laws working against human rights violations.[2] Finally, there are many proposed initiatives in place to end bride burning globally."

Either one condemns bride burning or not. Bashing me does nothing to solve the problem.
