sent to defend Ukraine like other dumb fuck vodka kommandos willingly

The sad part about the Ukraine situation is that they're ontheir ow when it comes to fighting a Goliath that is Russia....weapons aide can only take them so far. I'm not sure if they have the numbers to hold their front....Russia isn't even throwing bodies at them anymore....they're just shelling targeted locations now and that's worst for civilians. They might need to give up land for this to be over....
It is more than just not wanting to put our people in harm's way. The US and it's NATO allies do not want to be seen as combatants which would inevitably lead to great and further reaching escalation.
