This maybe more for the older guys on the bored. In the last few years I finally get harder and harder to get a decent night's sleep. I wake up 2-3 4 times a night for no reason that I can think of. Does anybody have any suggestions or have the same experiences I have

Are you getting enought exercise? Have you tried tried a sleep mask if you don't have blackout curtains? For sleep, it is better to be a little cold rather than a little hot.

Seems the older you get, less hours you need. You're not sleeping in the afternoon, if you are stop..I sometimes wake up because I have to pee, they tell me not to drink after 6 pm.

You can reduce the peeing by steaming tomatoes for 15 minutes and eating pumpkin seeks. Prostate pills like Super Prostate also have lycopene and zinc in them. I often now find I pee less but longer.

You might want to check if you have sleep apnea. You could be blocking your airwaves especially if you snore and this causes you to stop breathing for a short time and can wake you up. You can arrange to do an overnight sleep test at most hospitals. I have had it for years and must wear a CPAP mask which covers my nose and mouth which I hate to the point that I usually through it across my bedroom in the middle of night. Also, if you are getting up to have a pee during the night, you may want to check for enlarged prostate. I also suffer from that. Life can be a bitch.

I was actually going to suggest Sleep Apnea as a possible reason. Dont eat full stomach at night and go to bed at a reasonable hour. Sometimes watching TV or looking at LED screens can be difficult.

Also try melatonin it could help. Of course exercise is also crucial.

Apart from having to pee 3 or 4 times a night I am awake a lot during the night. If I worked in construction I wouldn't have the problem probably. The sleeping part, not the peeing. I always think a bbbj would help me nod off. Don't really know. Haven't had the opportunity to test that theory in years.

Give a try to Longan fruit. It won't help you fall asleep like
sleeping pills. It is more effective in improving quality of
your sleep. I can't guarantee it will work for you. But eating
dehydrated Longan as a snack shouldn't cause any harm. It
is more or less a popular fruit in Asia. You can only find the
whole fruit in Asian supermarket when it is in season but I
think it has to be eaten in the form of dried pulp for it
to work. T&T has its own brand of Longan pulp. My
preference was a Thailand import which I can't seem to
find anymore.

1) Wiccashoppe, 2211 Queen St East in The Beaches, sells bottles of a mixture they call 'Sleep and Stress'. It's made of natural ingredients, lavender is one of them. You rub a few drops on your hands, then inhale, with hands covering your face. I think the store is open every day except Mondays, and possibly not on the High Holidays, (Summer and Winter Solstices, Spring and Autumn Equinoxes, Hallowe'en and Aleister Crowley's Birthday. It's probably almost 25 years since I've been in there, but I would think they'd still be selling mostly the same merchandise.

2) You could try rubbing one out a few minutes before you want to start sleeping, and if you're older, you probably won't be 'up' for a few hours.

I notice when I drink alcohol I have a really bad sleep. Past couple days have been terrible because of that. I know that sleep apnea runs in my family. Maybe check if you have sleep apnea? It disrupts your breathing causing you to wake up.

Since I started spraying my pillow with an aromatic mist I have found I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Lavender seems to work well for me.
