The huge ice storm was this time 9 years ago. They say this is a once in a decade storm. I wonder if it will be anything like what we had back then. That was horrible for people.
I was running around with my chainsaw for a week after that, cutting trees off my street, and friends driveways.. Another bud scored a shitload of the firewood I gathered as a result!!

Where did your friend park? I have replacement insurance on my vehicle. if it gets destroyed i'll get an electric truck. 😁
His car was parked on the street. His wife's car was parked inside the garage (no damage).

GTA is in the warm pocket. Doesn't look like much will hit us for now.

This snowstorm + Christmas holidays is getting in the way of hobbying. It feels like I'm taking a temporary vow of chastity.

Lol 😆 🤣 😂 😹 big snowstorm really, the most Toronto will get is 5 or 10 cm , the stupid media needs to stop hyping up , this no January 17th 2022 snowstorm anymore.

What with the ttc with putting some stops out of service, that complete joke

It is not about the amount of snow. It is the flash freeze, ice and wind.

Just because it is a winter storm doesn’t mean it has to be about The snow.

Fortunately Toronto isn't all of Ontario. Tell the people involved in a 100 car pile up on the 401 near London that this storm is nothing. It's the high winds that are the big issue along with a sudden drop in temperature.

This ^^

I just got back from Burlington and it wasnt bad at all.
It has even stopped snowing right now.
We're gonna get at most 10cm (if that).

People out on the prairies and Edmonton are probably laughing at us

That is what they said we would get. At least on the weather network. All the warnings have quoted high winds and flash freezing. About 5-10cms of snow.

Thats no reason to shut down schools or TTC lines.

Mainstream media is overblowing things again

it's been pretty nasty in the Niagara Region. I lost power this morning for about 30 minutes.
Hard to tell how much snow we have gotten due to the high winds.

The city of Toronto, ttc and media are a joke , can't handle small snowfall, just salt the roads ,and plow that it, the grocery stores are still had people coming in
