If the Russians gave her 4 months in the Moscow Jail, people would be less concerned. But 9 years in the Gulag is likely a death sentence, especially for a Black woman and especially for an American. People get murdered or deliberately starved to death in those places. If I'm Biden, I probably don't want that death on my conscience.

But and this is a big but....The storm is going to get ugly here very fast I feel. If she doesn't come out hard against her imprisonment and her unfair treatment I don't see how they're going to spin this one favourably.

I am not egocentric enoguh to believe that everyone around the world should adhere to my beliefs or they are wrong. It seems that locking up an American may have been a political stunt but I'm not sure.
