I know, I know… I suffer from Trump derangement syndrome, and this of course is nothing. Lol.

How stupid would you have had to have been to ever support this con man?

Posting the CBC version, just to add insult to injury.

Senior House Republican says he 'vehemently' disagrees with former U.S. president

Former U.S. president Donald Trump faced rebuke Sunday from officials in both parties after calling for the "termination" of parts of the constitution over his lie that the 2020 election was stolen.
Trump, who announced last month that he is running again for president, made the claim over the weekend on his Truth Social media platform.

"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," he wrote. "Our great 'Founders' did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!"

Incoming House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries on Sunday described Trump's statement as strange and extreme, and said Republicans will have to make a choice whether to continue embracing Trump's anti-democratic views.
"Republicans are going to have to work out their issues with the former president and decide whether they're going to break from him and return to some semblance of reasonableness or continue to lean in to the extremism, not just of Trump, but Trumpism," Jeffries said on ABC's This Week.

Trump still the 'dominant force' in Republican Party, strategist says

Calling Donald Trump a 'sad figure but a dangerous one,' U.S. political strategist Rick Wilson says the former president is still the front-runner to become the Republican nominee for the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Trump, who is the first president to be impeached twice and whose term ended with his supporters violently storming the U.S. Capitol in a deadly bid to halt the peaceful transition of power on Jan. 6, 2021, faces escalating criminal investigations, including several that could lead to indictments. They include the probe into classified documents seized by the FBI from Mar-a-Lago, and ongoing state and federal inquiries related to efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Asked about Trump's comments Sunday, Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio, the top Republican on the House intelligence committee, said he "vehemently" disagrees and "absolutely" condemns the remarks, saying they should be a factor as Republicans decide who should lead their party in 2024.
"There is a political process that has to go forward before anybody is a front-runner or anybody is even the candidate for the party," he said on the CBS show Face the Nation. "I believe that people certainly are going to take into consideration a statement like this as they evaluate a candidate."
Mike Lawler, a Republican from New York who was elected to the House of Representatives in last month's midterm elections, also objected to the remarks, saying it was time to stop focusing on the "grievances of prior elections."

"The constitution is set for a reason, to protect the rights of every American," Lawler said on CNN's State of the Union. "I think the former president would be well advised to focus on the future, if he is going to run for president again."
Trump's comments came after Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk, said he would reveal how Twitter engaged in "free speech suppression" leading up to the 2020 election. But files released Friday, which focused on the tech company's confused response to a story about Biden's son Hunter, do not show Democrats trying to limit the story.
The White House on Saturday assailed Trump, saying: "You cannot only love America when you win."
"The American Constitution is a sacrosanct document that for over 200 years has guaranteed that freedom and the rule of law prevail in our great country," spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement. "Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation."

Sadly yes.
We will see if any of the replacement pushes like DeSantis make a dent in that.

Now Trump is denying that he suggested the "Terminal of the Constitution". As usual he blames the "Fake News Press". What a Comedian:

Donald Trump on Monday denied he wanted to “‘terminate’ the Constitution,” two days after suggesting “the termination of all rules ... even those found in the Constitution.”

“The Fake News is actually trying to convince the American People that I said I wanted to ‘terminate’ the Constitution. This is simply more DISINFORMATION & LIES,” Trump said on Monday on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

No doubt that these series of statements has serious implications with the Jan 6th Insurrections Investigations!!

His tap dance moves are getting really lame. This isn't the first time he's said things that support the theory of Mary Trump and other mental heath scholars that the guy is certifiably nuts...;

The lame stream media citing Trump's own releases in their entirety is clearly proof of their anti-Trump bias.

McConnell is now trying to distance himself from the most corrupt US President in History:

McConnell again casts doubt on Trump's 2024 prospects after his call to terminate Constitution
It's the second week in a row the Senate Republican leader has reacted to Trump.

On Tuesday, for the second week in a row, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell cast serious doubt on Donald Trump's ability to become the president in 2024 -- without mentioning him by name.

"Anyone seeking the presidency who thinks that the Constitution could somehow be suspended or not followed, it seems to me, would have a very hard time being sworn in as the president of the United States," McConnell said at the start of his weekly news conference.

He was referencing Trump's recent social media post that repeated baseless claims of widespread election fraud and called for the "termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."

That's just him saying he would prefer not Trump but will vote for Trump and support him if he wins the primary.

That is what he said last time round. However this time he is refusing to answer such a question posed to him:

Asked directly on Tuesday if he could categorically rule out supporting Trump in 2024, McConnell repeated that view.

"What I'm saying is it'd be pretty hard to be sworn into the presidency if you're not willing to uphold the Constitution. That's what I said, and I just said it again," McConnell added.

I actually believe Trump is done. Walker is another bullet in Trumps fat ass. The Repugs are finally losing patience with their twice-impeached leader.
Actually, Walker is conceding more gracefully than Trump. Have to give him credit for that, unlike Trumpty Dumpty who still believes that all elections that he loses are "stolen", especially the 2020 ones!!

He helped spread Trump's lie but I do think other Repugs warned him prior to the results to accept it gracefully. I believe the ones with half a brain still left are catching on. They ensured Trump stayed far away. LOL

You do not to be biased one bit to call out Trump - he is an absolute piece of human scum , and I lean Republican and right wing. He is too disgusting, totally without any redeeming quality, to be supported by any worthwhile supporter of democracy. Too bad that he cannot be extradited to Russia or North Korea where he belongs.

It seems the Republicans are in a bind. Trump still very popular with the base. Thus, one cannot win a primary without bowing before Trump. Yet, that same act severely hurts them in a general election.

Thus, I don't think they'll dump him. They'll figure out milder and more vague /face saving ways to show fealty in the primaries that enables them to deny it at least confuse it for a general election.
