I am referring to violence and homicides, not gun related crimes. The world is a nasty place and the USA is still one of the safer places.

The killer in Virginia Walmart wasn't some riff raff. He was the night manager. He had been working there since 2010. How to explain craziness like that. At least he unalived himself and saved hassle and cost of a trial

Wow… and to think it was always Colombia and Mexico I was afraid to visit because of gun violence.
I took the US off my travel list about 6 years ago. I’m going to do a Vegas trip but that will be probably the last trip I will ever take to the US.
I’m doing Vegas before Biden is out. I have no faith in the US government and I fear it is just going to get worse so I will be knocking that off the bucket list very shortly and then the US will be done for me.
Don’t get me wrong - there are always landmarks I would enjoy visiting but it is just not worth it to me anymore.
I travelled the U.S. left coast 4 lifetimes ago. What you will see now is an unmitigated disaster and not the west coast of my young adult years.
This is my take on this
1] with the NRA and right wing support in the US for gun rights and the large % of the population who are legally liscenced to have a gun , many of these who actually carry a gun much of the time WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY WHEN THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO SOME GOOD. Of the over 600 mass shootings in the USA this year how many times was a legal, liscenced gun owner who was on the crime scene actually able to use their gun to stop a mass killing either before it started or got out of hand. Isn"'t that a big part of the argument for having guns - for protection.
2} In almost every case of a mass shooting it is 100% obvious who the mass shooter is, In 100% of those cases I wish that they either committed suicide, or initiated suicide by cop or that their actions when accosted by LE necessitated that they be killed. To them I say good riddance in every case.
