Cars are often blocking the route between the two streets and lots of sketchy people loitering in that parking lot.
Agree about Delicous. She's very pleasant and provides a good experience. Although I've seen her quite a bit at the 'Mate, still find her curvy look eye-catching on the floor and fun in the CR. Delicious now seems to be one of the dancers most often seen at the PM. Am curious about busty Bianca (French Bianca seems to have disappeared) and would welcome any reports (via PM especially) regarding Bianca in the CR.

There does seem to be less interest (both on this forum and in terms of actual attendance) in the 'Mate recently. Not sure how active the club is evenings/latenight, but during my own 'post-Jasmine' afternoon visits, the atmosphere seemed to be quite subdued with only one out of four or five visits able to be charitably described as busy (although Delicious has told me that there have been "very busy" afternoons).
Also hope that it's not the case that "no one is going to this club" and hope that it survives. The closure of Barb's made me wonder if that sad event would at least be good news for the remaining clubs but this has not seemed to have turned out to be the case. With things seeming to be so slow many afternoons at the PM, I'm dreading that the owners may decide to open later Tuesday to Friday.
Will try to drop by later in the week so I can provide an actual report. Hope anyone attending will take a bit of time to describe their experience.

Stopped by the 'Mate this afternoon (10/19) arriving at about 1:45 and the atmosphere was much the same as on recent visits but perhaps more active than on a few prior occasions. 10-12 patrons and moderate traffic to the CR.
Present were Summer, Domino, Crystal, Bianca, Delicious and one other dancer unknown to me. Delicious seemed to be most in demand for CR visits - she was in the CR when I arrived and after exiting she quickly returned for an extended session so there was quite a wait for an opportunity to visit with her. Bianca also had a lengthy CR visit at roughly the same time and a few of the other dancers were in and out of the CR over the span of my visit.
Not sure what else to add/comment on - seemed like a typical afternoon at the 'Mate. No one other than dancers/patrons was observed entering the CR area.
Present were Summer, Domino, Crystal, Bianca, Delicious and one other dancer unknown to me. Thanks for the info, M.O.F.W. My last few visits have been on Wednesday or Friday afternoons, so I guess I should start stopping in on Thursdays in hopes of a sighting/encounter with Vegas.

She was there for a bit that Thursday. Had a long session with her. Same as always.
Dropped by the 'Mate today (11/3) as I've been trying to get in on a Thursday afternoon having seen in the thread that Thursday is the day that Vegas has been around in the club in recent weeks.
As luck would have it, my hopes for a Vegas sighting were once again dashed. On top of this, Delicious was not in today - nor was Bianca.
Arrived about 1:15 and the club seemed as quiet as on most of my day visits in recent months. Moderate traffic to the CR and fairly regular stage activity through the afternoon. Present were Summer, Domino, Crystal, Lola and a short, very busty dancer who seemed vaguely familiar - don't recall her name.
Also at the 'Mate today was long-time afternoon regular Ashley - first time I've seen her since before the 'shutdown'. Ashley seems not to have changed a bit - still the same tan, toned look many will recall from years gone by. Ashley seemed to be popping in and out of the club regularly between 1:30 and 3:00, leaving and then returning fairly quickly.
All of the dancers (with the exception of Summer) were observed making CR visits during my stay (1:15 - 3:00).

Dropped by PM yesterday Friday Afternoon first time in a long time as I was disappointed by low mileage and topless stage dances in other clubs.
I saw stage dances by Brandy, Lola, Phoenix, Selena (from Pigale). A few others there too (I recognized Bianca and Natalia).
Stage dances are becoming more like topless dances in most strip bars but at least here at PM some still take off everything in the last minute of third song (and some don't) and even for private dances dancers don't usually take off everything till the third song (Natalia had her panty on at the end of second song). This is a strategy by them to guarantee at least 3 songs or $60.
In my view Ottawa strip bars are a waste of time and money recently and this applies to PM and all remaining strip bars which I don't expect them to be around for long.

Well IMHO the business model for strippers is broken. It's ok if you and some friends want to have a few beers and watch a lady get naked on stage.... but why would I pay $20 for 3.5 min for nothing more than a lap dance, and you have to pay for 3 just to get the dancer near naked....and you still can't do much. When for $120 I can get FS at an Asian Spa for a HH.... just makes no sense to waste my hard earned cash at a strip club. Even a normal indy SP is only $140-180 for a HH....
The atmosphere does seem to be a bit duller than I remembered (pre-'shutdown') when visiting the 'Mate afternoons during the last few months. I haven't seen the variety of dancers listed above by H_K (only Bianca and Lola sound familiar, but don't know all the names).
Always try to be respectful in these posts but, having said that, there do seem to be fewer and fewer dancers who attract at the PM during afternoons. Crystal and Lola (somewhat different types) are both eye-catching and Delicious always looks good to me in the club. Bianca seems nice too, but I have to say I remember a younger Bianca from many years ago when she was a leggy, busty babe at Barb's - she still has a sexy look though. And last visit I saw Ashley, seemingly ageless. I'm pretty sure Vegas is still very, very nice but have been unable to connect with one of her seemingly less-than-frequent visits.
I suppose I'm wavering between thinking that the 'Mate is in decline and taking the view that it's not so different than I remember it. Certainly the 'loss' of Adora and Mia has not helped and I am nostalgic for the days of Foxy and Annika and when Vegas was just a tiny little bit easier to see.
Patrons have their own tastes/interests in dancer types though, so these things are pretty variable and this wiil tend to affect one's opinion of the current state of the 'Mate and other clubs. In any case, I'm pretty sure that things aren't improving. Maybe I'm emphasizing the PM too much, but with Barb's gone and the 'Fax only open Friday for afternoon visits, I tend to gravitate to the 'Mate, especially since I've heard not-so-great things about the 'Den. Perhaps it's time to cross the river.
Happened to be towards the east side of downtown today (11/24) so took the opportunity to take a sidetrip down to Vanier and have a quick visit to the 'Mate hoping, as always, for a Vegas sighting.
Arrived around 1:30 and stayed for about and hour or so. Dancers I saw : Domino (now brunette), Summer, Delicious, Ruby (didn't recognize Ruby on my last visit as I remember her with much longer hair) and two dancers I had not seen before (or at least don't remember), Shay and a tall, very curvy girl whose name I didn't catch - asked Delicious but she didn't recall this girl's name. Didn't see Bianca, Crystal or Ashley.
There was a moderate amount of CR traffic during the short time I was there, but not too much stage activity. Thought Ruby looked great on stage - very curvy and built with her exceptional ass and really quite extraordinary tits for those who appreciate that kind of look. By the end of her (three?) songs onstage, Ruby was fully nude and spreading wide.
Again, was not lucky enough to drop in on a day with Vegas present. In conversation, Delicious told me that Vegas has been in the club recently and had said to Delicious that she would mostly be coming in on Thursdays and/or Fridays. Short of stopping by on both Thursday AND Friday EVERY week, I guess I'll just have to rely on luck to have a chance to encounter Vegas at the PM.
