Why would they? As a woman you get the attention of a man and a free meal. He gets nothing.

Why take a woman out on a dinner date?

First, not every guy is looking for a woman with whom he hopes to have sex only once.

Second, many desirable women will go on a dinner date with a guy to whom they are not immediately attracted, because they value the free meal more than the time expenditure. If a guy's main assets are his personality and conversation skills rather than his looks and/ or the size of his bank account, a dinner date gives him an opportunity to showcase his best qualities for an extended period of time, with essentially a captive audience, and no competition from other men.

If the guy is friendly and polite, but the woman has no romantic interest in him, there's a very good chance that she will introduce him to one of her single girlfriends, with whom she thinks he might be compatible.

Spending a bit of money upfront, with a hope, but not necessarily an expectation of future romance, is not for the $10K millionaire demographic, like the guy in canada-man's video, post #4. Guys like that might get more success sexually in terms of gross amount, but most of it will be with partners they wouldn't want to sleep with more than once.

To me taking the right lady out for dinner is a fantasy fulfilled
even without getting laid after the date. I am not the escort type of
hobbyist though so finding a date well worth the money is tough.
