Independents of course can charge anything, but if you look at the Club Alpha website there's nothing there about clients having to expect surcharges for services based on the hostess they end up with. A 60 minute session is $200, period. If that's now just a charge to get in the room, and once you're there it could be an extra $20 for a shared shower, $40 for her to take off her clothes, etc. that should be spelled out.

Basically, if their business model has changed they need to be upfront about it.

I had wondered if the house was taking a cut, or if maybe the percentage between house and hostess had changed and the MAs were encouraged to make it back themselves. Still, I think the client should know if they only need $200 for that 60 minute session, or if they really need $300 to $400. I never had to pay extra when I was there before the pandemic, and I saw a lot of different MAs. I had planned to go back now that I'm in the city again sometimes, but having no clear idea on the final cost is a major deterrent.

MP12345678 - I'm glad you didn't have to, but a lot of others have said they had to pay surcharges for various MAs (and not for the "extras" we can't discuss in relation to massage). Maybe those MAs didn't last at the club?

That's too bad. I hope they fix that. I haven't experienced it. I would recommend booking ahead with one of the girls that are well reviewed on the GFE MA list and you won't have that problem.

Part of the fun of Alpha is dropping in and mingling with the girls, having a drink and relaxing.

Also, I did call ahead and was told there were 5 available. It was only after I was in the room that I learned there was only 1... and...she does have good reviews on the GFE MA list.... this isn't my first rodeo.....your recommendations, while appreciated, would not have changed what happened.

I wouldn't necessarily label Alpha as the only club with "upcharging" going on. I have experienced the same thing at two other clubs, both that I have been to several times. It would appear that there is no policy or standard anymore. Girls can charge for anything once in the room. You have to have the balls to stand up and say "so long". I have been avoiding all clubs/spas because of this. I think the club should set what is expected for the money paid, so everyone knows whats expected. Over and above services are at the discretion of the two people involved. To upcharge for basic services will kill this industry. Who knows, maybe this will revive the strip club scene.

The business model for strip clubs is out of wack too.... charging $20 for a 3.5 min song, with little touching at all, is absurd. I was at Pigales last weekend, and Quebec strip clubs used to have less rules or ladies willing to be more open, but not now it seems. Why would I pay $60 for 3 songs to just have a lady lapdance when for $120 I can get FS at an Asian spa that treats you like a King.....

I don't shill for anyone so if the experience is subpar or bad, I'll say it.

Thank you Jessica for clearing this up. I am sure that you make every effort into the service model that your spa has worked hard to generate. It seems its necessary to clarify as a result of this thread. I know (as I have said in my earlier post) that these upcharges that have been occurring in the recent past aren't just at Alpha, and may have gone without your knowledge. Maybe they didn't happen. I have experienced upcharging (NOT AT ALPHA) at two other well known spas and was very surprised. I hope your post here prompts them to take notice and do what you have done and clear up any confusion and restore some confidence in what to expect when visiting a spa.

I have been going to Alpha since it opened have never had a lady ask for upcharge on sf2

In the effort of transparency, joedrake has been massaging me and I would like to reply here what I replied to him.


The new admin (who was on staff with our experienced admin Helen ) at the new location that was two days old made a mistake by looking at the hostesses hanging out after their busy shift at the bar. Have you never made a mistake in a new job? We’re all trying our best here.

This was a simple contact to me and a quick fix with our new admin to advise her check the schedule instead of people at the bar and then you would have gotten a discount on a next session for the time you took to travel to our place for nothing. You’re not wrong here. That problem was easy to solve and everyone would have been happy.

Coming here lying about an up charge for showers didn’t solve anything for you and now you’re banned from the club altogether. It could have been a misunderstanding between you and hostess, I don’t know as I wasn’t there. But the fact is you didn’t pay an up charge for a shower with a hostess. That’s a facts.
I can’t figure out why you took such an aggressive approach to this. I’ve always been respectful, kind and willing to listen. I make myself available always and you had no problem messaging me after the fact.
