1) Mickey Redmond
2) Bernie Parent
Correct on the first one. Well done, that was a toughie!!!!!!
I believe the second one is different. I think Parent was part of the WHA when the Summit series took place.

This brought back memories of one of the best fights I ever saw. The 1982 15 rounder, 1st fight between Pryor and Arguello. Watched it at the old Grads Hotel in Ottawa. Room was packed and half the room was pulling for Pryor and the other half for Arguello. They literately tried to destroy each other in each round and it swayed back and forth with each of them looking like they had the other one on the ropes many times. It finally ended in the 14th round when Pryor launched an attack that Arguello wasn't able to defend against and the referee stepped in to stop the fight as Arguello (who wouldn't go down) couldn't defend himself.
I saw that at Massey Hall. Alexis Arguello was a very classy fighter.

Gotta be Gerry Cheevers, since Sinden was the head coach
Good guess, but I believe Cheevers was in the same situation as Parent. He signed with the WHA, and players who signed with that league were barred from participating in the series.

These 2 questions relate to the Canada-Russia 1972 hockey summit.
1) Which player was the only one on Team Canada to play only one game?
2) Who was the 3rd string goalie on the Team Canada roster?
3rd string was Ed Johnston..Montreal

In baseball, a batter's On Base Percentage is sometimes equal to his Hits + Walks + Hit by Pitch/ At Bats + Walks + Hit by Pitch, and sometimes it's not, (it's less). Explain why.

Answered correctly by MuffDiver.

Sacrifice flys
Correct, (flies).

Also, if a player had a sacrifice fly in his only plate appearance in a game, it would end a hitting streak, but a sacrifice bunt would not.

Correct!!!!! Ed Johnston was the 3rd goalie.
onomatopoeia is also correct, in that he never played for Montreal. At the time he was a Boston Bruin. That goes back to unassuming pointing out that Harry Sinden was the coach of both Boston and Team Canada. He had the right idea, but the wrong goalie.

Thanks I remember hearing the answer to that trivia question in the past. I never would have got Ed Johnston, my alternate guess was Cheevers.

Who is Steve Bartman?
The poor bastard who was incorrectly blamed for interferring with a Chicago Cubs outfielder as he unsuccessfully tried to catch a foul pop up near the stands. The Cubs lost the game and he had to go into hiding.

1982 in Tampa. Who knows if Tampa attended. The first one was very small and considering their draft history at the time the may have skipped the event.
