LOL!! For five thousand years homosexuality has been considered a vice. The show, supposedly set in the past, only reflects that.
well im sick of these billion dollar shows making the nuts hate gay people
one of my nephews came out and said he was gay
he also told me he tried suicide 4 times in fear of being accepted

The show is set in the past- real or imagined- only reflects the times. I highly doubt that the brains behind the major tv/film productions have anything to do with conservatism, much less Republicans.
I don’t think most people give a shit if someone is gay. It’s a tv show, stop whining and turn it off if you don’t like it. There are lots of shows I don’t like, but I can let others watch them without complaining. Get over yourself.
Game of thrones is not anti-gay. Have you seen the pleasure house scenes? Hell they just had an incest scene.
I heard the mini series Roots was pretty racist in the 70’s. They had scenes of slavery.

I think you’re missing the point. Up until the last couple decades, Same Sex relationships were frowned upon severely and even as late as the mid 20th century, it was considered a crime. This TV show is fantasy and takes place well over a few centuries ago (with dragons that didn’t really exist) so they are only keeping with the way things were period wise. It was definitely common practice with royalty to keep the bloodlines pure with incest and even the Romans had same sex relationships in their scriptures. This show isn’t negatively portraying Same Sex relationships. To be honest, how many shows today even show or discuss same sex relationships. House of Dragons, GOT are being as the kids day “woke by including this in their story” rather than not portraying it and just ignoring this ever took place.

The show has nothing to do with any past in our history, it's sci. fi. Fantasy and I've seen nothing homophobic about it. It's actually boring and not nearly as good as the original
Just another ill-informed thread. Anyone who has read the books knows the Sea Snake's son, who marries the Targaryen princess, is a solid poofter. The fourth episode of the tv series has revealed as much and shown an interracial homosexual kiss. This thread, like so many of it's predecessors should simply be deleted given it has absolutely zero merit.
Are you conflating the production with the story? Yes, the world the story takes place in isn't overly fond of homosexuals, but that doesn't mean the showrunners are homophobic.
