That article clearly says the 15 boxes were removed in January.
My bad, you're right.
But that actually means that they took the 15 boxes in January and then came back in June and were given more documents.
Then the agents told rump to get stronger locks, meaning they knew more documents were there and that rump wouldn't release them.

After that they got the tip about even more documents and got security camera footage. I assume that was to prove they weren't stored securely.
This FBI raid was the third time they went there.

(NY post, so....)
At some point in the following days, according to the outlet, investigators received a tip that there may be additional classified documents at the resort.
On June 22, the Journal reported, the Trump Organization received a subpoena for security camera footage from Mar-a-Lago, which was turned over.

Why would he still keep secure documents after being visited by the FBI twice and told to return them?

That is sort of the question isn't it?
Why take them in the first place?
Why hold some back when they came to get them in January?
Why keep holding more back when they came in June to take some more because they found out you didn't turn over everything in January?
Why hold more back after they came back with a subpoena?
And then finally what was on those security tapes that made the DOJ decide they couldn't wait around for you to finally do what you were supposed to do in the first place?

One of the charges was tampering with documents, wasn't it?
Though I'd suspect that it was more serious than just rump taking out his sharpy.

A bunch of the documents appear to be about Russian collusion with Roger Stone and Macron in particular.
So much like the bumbled Iranian attempt to take out Bolton who was stopping treaty talks, rump will use the Streisand Effect to shine a spotlight on his collusion.
Will we be hearing more about Roger Stone and Jack Posobiec?

Wow. First, the bullshit.
No goons with ARs. The agents deliberately showed up not in raid jackets, during business hours, not blaring sirens or kicking down doors. They tried to keep their presence as low key as possible. They showed huge deference to Trump. (Remember Trump disclosed this, not the FBI). Also, a TS SCI doc likely won't have any info or titles on the page. It's the top secret stuff so you have to open it up to see topic and issues.
Second, the reality.
Trump takes classified info, takes it home, refuses to give it back, then gets subpoenaed, still delays, then gives up docs, but turns out he didn't give them all back. If it has nuke stuff it does not matter if he declassified it. He cannot declassify it or have it. Moreover, he has to go through a process to declassify the other stuff, seems that was not done. Even if we give benefit of doubt that he declassified them, why did he do so, why did he take them home?
Oh - then he leaks it to breitbart so the fbi agents' names can be circulated, and the brownshirts are already threatening them.
Finally, the fact that the espionage act was cited suggests they have Intel that he was talking about leveraging these docs.
Can you imagine any other leader of any other country doing this? Any patriotic American?
Trump has been treated with such kid gloves it burns me up.
Anyone else do this they are in handcuffs tout suite...
You or I would have been arrested boarding the plane to mar-a-lago

I have got to repeat that this whole thing is bogus. The trick the government uses is to stamp every document "top secret", in order to prosecute any leak of information. That is the way Snowden, the girl and Assange is being destroyed.

Read "Voltaire's Bastards" for an explanation.

But even if you think its bogus, you must also think rump is a total moron for bringing home so many boxes that he knew they could come after.
And an even bigger moron for not giving up everything the two times they asked him before this one.

But not after the fact do they classify them. It was clearly stamped before removal. Thus it's not a trap or anything like that. It's clearly marked on every page. It's no mistake. Most documents are not classified BTW. Are some things over classified? Yes, that happens so you're right on one level.

But I keep coming back to why- he's no longer president why is he taking them away? Why won't he return them despite repeated requests?
I respectfully disagree on Snowden et al. They all should hang IMHO.
Sorry when someone gives up classified - be they right or left - I have no tolerance.

Danmand appears to be arguing that Trump took things he realized were overclassified.
"Principled opponent of excess secrecy Donald Trump" and all that.

Of course the more we learn the more bs comes from Trump.
Raid was not a surprise. His attorney was there. He could watch it on his security system too. So his initial account not quite accurate.
Now it's the Steve Bannon "flood the zone with shit" strategy (Obama did it! (false), he declassified them by fiat! (nope gotta go through a process) he cooperated fully! (nope did not turn over all the docs) it was an accident! (nope cuz it contradicts his claim he took them because he declassified them) it was the gra people who made the mistake and accidentally packed them up! (nope they only pack up what is requested by pres) etc etc).
He leaked the warrant to breitbart with names of FBI agents not redacted. He knows this will gin up the stupids to have a swing at killing these men.. The stupids are threatening to kill the judge who issued warrant too. This is exactly the mussolini/brownshirt strategy.

So just because Assange and Snowden were railroaded (Snowden was, Assange wasn't) Trump gets a pass? Well, the whole thing is certainly politically motivated...

When Voltaire railed against the gross regime of Louis XV, the threat of nuclear annihilation.

The King of Kings is amoral, he'll do anything for money. If he is found to have passed on nuclear secrets to his bosom buddies the Saudis, he needs to go to jail for life. The 9th Century desert kingdom didn't bat an eye when it came to green lighting 9/11, what would they do with nuclear warheads.

Thanks for the recommendation Dane, I'll read Bastards....It's not Voltaire, the author is John Ralston Saul.

I have no more love for Trump than you have, and I doubt Tulsi Gabbard has any either.

Paul Ralston Saul "Voltaire's Bastard" is.a brilliant book describing the rise of the bureaucracy, or the deep state. When England ruled the 7 seas with 3,000 ships, the admiralty had less than a hundred employees. Now they have 300 ships and 40,000 employees in the admiralty.

LOL! What "bluff" is that? The White House sent 30 goons with ARs to raid its political opponent and we have no idea why except speculations and, now, a leak.
Yes, the White House did it…haha…don’t forget about the FBI planting evidence…

They've planted the evidence before, why not this time?
