Toronto police have received judicial authority to release the photo of a teenage suspect wanted in connection with multiple sex assault incidents along two popular Toronto trails.
The first two incidents took place on July 7 and 8 on the Gatineau Hydro Corridor Trail near the Birchmount Road area.
Police say in the first incident, a woman was running eastbound on the trail when a teenage boy on a bicycle blocked her way and then sexually assaulted her. In the second, the boy followed and stopped a woman riding on a bicycle and asked to show her an “11 fingers Tik Tok trick.” He then sexually assaulted her.
The other two alleged assaults took place along the East Don Valley Trail on July 22 and 23.
Police say the boy approached a 54-year-old woman on July 22 between Wynford Drive and Sloane Avenue and asked her for water. He then sexually assaulted her, got back on his bicycle and rode away.
On July 23, a 52-year-old woman was approached from behind by the boy on his bicycle as she was walking near Wynford Heights Crescent. He sexually assaulted and rode away in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as about five feet five inches tall with a thing build and short brown or light blond hair, riding a dark mountain bike. In the images released he’s wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts, carrying a backpack with a distinctive brown camouflage-like design.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
