Me too. Twice. Word gets around in the wildlife kingdom that my house is the one to invade.Yup. Twice.
1. Squirrel down the chimney when I was away for a few weeks.
Disaster. Ruined curtains, soiled rugs, gnawed woodwork, etc.
2. Left door from attic to roof deck open. Remembered in middle of night and went and closed it… cleverly trapping a raccoon in my attic. The results were predictable.
Good luck to you…
Had the same thing happen to me. It was a roided invading cat . Our two cats didn't take kindly to it and the war started. Don't think about it until it happens. Very sticky situation trying to evict a cat who is in fight to the death mode. the metal sliding door went in the cat door every night after that.I was at my Buddies place near Spadina and he build a pet flap in his back door for his cats to go in and out. Once I was sleeping there and in the middle of the night I heard the cats screaming and banging. A racoon got into the pet door and was going thru the garbage fighting with the cats and my Buddie was trying to kick him out with a broom. The screaming scared the shit out of me.
Got to be careful with raccoons. They might carry rabies.I was at my Buddies place near Spadina and he build a pet flap in his back door for his cats to go in and out. That cat probably kept other vermen (vermins) away.Had a cat get into the garage once. He was up in the rafters and wouldn’t come down anytime we were in the garage. I don’t even know how long he was living in there before we found him.
