My Rogers wireless internet wasn't working this morning but it started up again maybe an hour ago. Currently far up North, north of Peterborough.

I find it weird they're not giving us even a hint what the issue is could be. Usually they at least give something vague. But an issue this big, had me wondering if it's some sort of cyber attack.
Bell was down when that huge wind storm happened. They blamed it on the storm publicly but I was told by a Bell employee, someone actually Tampered with something and caused the outage. But it was never reported. I wonder if someone who hit Bell is now hitting Rogers?????

Clearly a cyberattack. It has to be!

Virgin internet and cell.
Been with both for many years. Haven't had any issues yet. 🤞
Doesn't Virgin use Bell's network for both cell and internet?
And I believe TekSavvy piggybacks on other internet carriers networks, like Rogers, Bell or Telus, depending on where they offer their service, except in rural parts of Ontario...

I do wonder if we could ever get serious competition in Canada. Our market in small compared to many other nations, but we take it up the ass for how expensive it is and how poor our service is. I remember about a decade ago when I think it was Verizon was thinking about moving into Canada, and they got massive pushback from the big three (shocking, I know). But something needs to be done.

Yes Virgin is a Bell subsidiary.

There's a new public holiday today called Rogers Day.

Enjoy the long weekend everyone (y)
Pretty much. Quite a few guys who are regulars, are texting from apps saying it is them and they can’t work today because of the outage.

Another guy is a delivery driver and he can’t get people to the door because their ring doorbells aren’t working and they are not answering the knocks.

What ever did we do back in the stone ages????? LOL

Personally, I am packing up and heading to trailer. I have satellite internet there. Won’t be affected by this issue

I've been inside all day. I haven't gone out yet. Are interac purchases working? How about the banks?

Teksavvy buys bulk bandwidth from Rogers and Bell, (I don't know about Telus), and resells it at a discounted price. My landline home phone and DSL Internet is through Teksavvy, and I pay a small monthly 'dry loop' charge which goes to Bell, because I am accessing their network, but I have no services provided by them.
