They are "common" (if common means - more common than other motives) only if your sampling is limited to the narratives of CNN and the like.
No. Really.
Misogyny or vengeance are the two biggest motives.
Actual straight up right-wing political messaging is rarer than those, but not uncommon.
The shooter apparently fired 70 rounds. It's fair to assume that he wasn't seeking "personal" vengeance against 70 people, and it's also fair to assume he didn't attempt to only target women at an event diversely attended by men, women and children.
It's a good guess, sure.
But "she's in that crowd" is more than enough for some people.
Now, if we believe the police aren't lying (always a bad bet, but they don't always lie about all of the things at once), he planned this for some time.
So if he had a specific personal target, this is a bad way to do it.
If he had a grudge against the town in general... that's very possible.
If he was just a fame seeker, then this is just a big local event.
Seems far more likely that he didn't like people who like to celebrate patriotism and freedom - you know - Republicans!
Republicans are pretty against patriotism and freedom, actually.
But they
do like fake displays of the same, so that's a possibility.
He could very well be a right wing fanatic who hates that RINOs are pretending to be patriotic while Trump - the legitimate President - is being persecuted.
He could also be a false flag guy who dressed up as a woman to "prove" that drag queens are evil.
Or, since Democrats and liberals love parades and forth of july celebrations to, he might be totally targeting them.
Lake County is pretty damn Democratic, and has a significant hispanic population, so if you want to kill a bunch of godless liberals, shooting into a parade in Lake County is a good way to do it.
I feel like I'm talking to someone who has just come out of a 20 year coma, and is experiencing the world with fresh eyes and is still learning to interpret what they see.
No.
You're talking with someone who is mocking your tendency to grab a narrative and hold onto it against all reason.
It doesn't take much insight to know that people who stir shit up online are rarely comfortable with or interested in real world confrontation. Witness various members of this forum! 4Channers are just the political opposite of keyboard warrier SJWs, just with more sophisticated online tactics and better computer skills.
So you find it unlikely that any mass shooters were found to be active on the various chan boards?
