Don't project your extremism on the pragmatic Canadian voters. Voters do hate, but they hate for the right reasons(unlike you). They hate the inflation destroying their wages, the unaffordable groceries, the soon to be underwater mortgages and the overtaxed gasoline. And while I would love to see people who exchanged Harper for this moron suffer a lot more under the inept Liberals, our country needs a change and needs it very badly.
Hilarious, that someone like you can accuse others of their "extremism". ROTFLMAO!!
The Canadians think that the present Government handled the Pandemic far better than the joke of a Trump Presidency down under in the gUnited States of America!!
Of course inflation is a global issue, and all pragmatic Canadians are fully aware of it, and not the usual dogmatically brainwashed ones that will always blame the present Government for it, no matter what!!
The BOC should have acted earlier to slow this rate of inflation. But prior to the Pandemic, the same pragmatic Canadians were fully aware that the Economy was booming and the jobs created in a single month trumped the Harper years of growth in a full fiscal year. The alternative to the Trudeau Government is a Pissed Off Poilievre, that wants to convert Canada into a volatile and uncertain cryptocurrency hub, and also taking the unprecedented step of firing the Head of the Bank of Canada. His marches with the extreme right wing individuals for goodness knows what reasons says it all. The Liberals will have all the ammunition to use that video of him doing so in the next elections!!

Chretien years are 30 years ago. Next you'll be complaining that Wilfred Laurier had a snuff addiction and Mackenzie King talked to his terrier.
And because it was a while back it doesn't matter? Chretien and Martin both monetized their influence as all politicians do.

yeah, it's a "global issue"- a perfect excuse for all seasons. My favorite- nobody saw this coming. Well, I did! And few others. And yes, PP is correct, the head of BOC has to be fired because he failed.

I don't understand why people throw such a hissy fit about Poilievre. I've yet to hear about any policy of his that I would consider "appalling". So he supports the convoy protestors in Ottawa. I don't agree with that position, but I hardly find it appalling. So he's against people losing their job for not wanting to take the vaccine. Again, you may disagree with that idea, but it has merit.

He wouldn't be my first choice for the Conservative ticket, but if it came to it I'd vote for him and his "appalling" policies. Why? Because he'll take the necessary steps to save the Canadian economy, even though they may be politically inconvenient. Which is something Trudeau could never do. There's nothing more appalling than willfully destroying the Canadian economy in the long term simply to buy votes and save face in the short term.

What tf have the Tories like Ford ever done about the issues you mention?

Aren't house prices provincial jurisdiction issues?.... This is exactly why people hate the Tories so much.
I guess that is why the tories won another majority a few months back.

If it is "not a global issue" can you explain why near all countries around the globe are hurting with the inflation? You "saw it coming"? ROTFLMAO!!

I don't take political sides-- inflation would be similar if PP were in power, although gasoline prices would definitely be at least 11 cents lower a litre under his watch (no carbon tax, temporary suspenion to the GST).

Low turnout. People voted for Ford because he won't do anything totally nuts. And the other 2 might have.

He's not going to suspend the HST. It would financially crash the country. He's a liar.

At the most he'd shave a point off - and I would be astonished if he did anything at all.

Well said, B_H. We can all use a chuckle. Maybe he asked MadonnaLove/Grace Sparks/Miami whatever, since she says she is a psychic and she let him know of the upcoming inflation.

So maybe you autta give him a break since he had advance warning :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It doesn't? Then why are you bringing PP's "fortune " to the conversation?
Because if he really sketched $ 9 million and he wants to lead my country, I want to know who owns him.

I wish you PC's would stop making it seem that the Tories have some kind of mandate, NOT!

The tories got 1.89 M (million) Votes

4.6 m people out of 10.7 m eligible voters voted and that is about 43%

The tories got 1.89M votes out of 4.6M votes cast, about 41%

So, 41% of 43% is about 17.6%

Wow, what a majority ..... the tories were picked by 41% of the votes cast which equals 17.6% of eligible voters.

You are correct in that they hold a majority of seats in parliament but that is product of no alternative leader (of any worth) for any other party, other than maybe the Green leader. So I really hope Dougie takes heed and doesn't act like he has any kind of mandate because he was clearly not the choice of any majority either possible or actual !
