This is insane. An unarmed black man Jayland Walker was fired at 90 times and hit 60 times at traffic stop in Akron, Ohio. Akron is birthplace of basketball stars Lebron James and Steph Curry.

Police claimed, erroneously, that Jayland fired first. The USA is truly fucked up.
The article says a gun was recovered in his car. He may have fired a shot. He clearly fled on foot unarmed though.

He didn't stop and took off. A chase began and he shot at police during the chase....you can hear it in the video. That escalated everything. When he was cornered, he took off and ran. He was also masked. I think he was trying to commit suicide. He did leave the gun in the car probably empty but whose to know at night when he's running away.

A quote from an obscure RPG "Phoenix Command Small Arms Combat System"

"Blam. Blam. 'Stop.' Blam. 'Police.' Blam." - Officer Axly. (Axly will appear many times in the PCCS games, almost always as an example of what not to do.)

At 59 seconds, Jayland shot his gun at the police officer's car. From that point forward, they knew he was armed and dangerous.

He continues the car chase, then exits the car later wearing a ski mask, and begins running.

It goes on and on with one opportunity after another for the idiot to just give up. He didn't. It's called suicide by cop. He got what he wanted whether he was simply insane, stupid, or otherwise.

All around great police work. Very brave officers. But we know how media will twist this and paint the good guys as the bad guys... shocking that common people STILL lap it up. It starts with the clickbait headlines like the one for this thread.

From the moment he discharged a gun at officers in a high speed chase, he deserved a coffin. And every officer deserved to unload their magazine into his body.

Jayland clearly put himself in danger by not obeying police instructions several times. But he was running away from the police and posed no threat at the time he was mowed down worse than an animal by 8 officers.

Compare how Akron police handled this situation to how Constable Lam arrested the guy who mowed down victims in Toronto with a van without firing a shot despite several provocations

So, let me get this straight. The guy fled, leading police on a car chase. He had a loaded gun in the car. During the car chase, the guy shot at police. Suspect gets out of vehicle and makes a run for it. Cops attempt to subdue with tasers, to no avail. It was night time and therefore hard to see. Suspect, who police have every reason to believe is still armed, turns aggressively towards them, and they shoot him.

I don't see the wrongdoing by police here.

Ironically, they were trying to arrest him on a prior Jay Walking warrant.

Monumental mental mentality mendacity.

Every officer will have have to account for every bullet they fired, all 70 plus of them.

The man was on the ground being subdued by two cops when he was executed. Those idiots put their fellow cops at risk by shooting 90s times at him.
You know what? I'd be running if I was black too. Given the history of those cops.

I must be missing that part in the video. Can you give me the time stamp for where he was being subdued by two cops before the police opened fire?

They didn't and couldn't have known that because they're not superhuman mind readers. He had already shot a gun at police moments earlier. For all they knew he still had a loaded gun ready to blast them...which makes their chase very brave for the officers.

You must be watching a different video. At no point was he on the ground subdued by two officers, unless you mean on the ground dead after being shot by officers. He ran, turned suddenly, and was lit up in good fashion. He got his wish. Congratulate him.

A black criminal is just as likely to be shot dead and a white one.

Check out the stadistics and compare them to the rate of criminality.

Is that what you'd do, after you fire a few rounds at Police? LOL

BTW, nice clickbait on the thread title.

To kill the bad guy. Case closed.

This isn't complicated and this kid is not a martyr.

Most people understand that if they shoot a gun at cops, they're likely to end up shot and killed by cops. It's just not something normal people partake in because it's literally insane.

Unwritten rule #1 for cops. Go home to your family after your shift. Don't get killed by somebody who is armed and has already fired a shot at you...

At that point it doesn't matter how many bullets were fired at the criminal, though they certainly should be enough to make sure he can't shoot back any more.
