Kinzinger is a hawkish former military pilot. I think their support for military intervention is incidental to their opposition to Trump. Still, it's kind of bizarre and inappropriate for Pelosi to bypass protocol and install two lame duck Republican opponents of Trump on the committee.
It goes back to his calling out Bush in the primary and knocking him out. He was considered dangerous to the Military contractors.

Trump did seem to knock heads with the military leadership on several occasions. I think the military fucked over several Presidents including Biden on the Afghanistan engagement.

No, that was an accurate statement.
Every other important bit of evidence that was reported was reported as eye witness testimony.
Feel free to do some actual research and check it for yourself.
Its not hard.
This is not just the steering wheel anecdote. How does she know what was said in the car?

In my opinion, the Trump phenomenon could be described first and foremost as a voter rejection of traditional politics and more likely a distaste for Hillary. I think this is more likely what history will take away from 2016.
It was the fuck you vote indeed. The problem is when you start rejecting traditional politics what other choice do you have?

Do you really think all the ones that reject current politics as it is will start rebellions to build social housing, bring free healthcare and grant free access to education to all?

Same anecdote.
All told to her by Tony Ornato, as she testified under oath.

Really, do some basic research.
If you don't know what you're talking about, why bother.

You are correct in blaming the commission for allowing her to pass on what is hearsay.

But you should not say she lied, unless you know for sure she was not told what she passed on.
Seriously? If Blasey Ford never happened, if Avenatti had not dredged out the pos "witness ", if Vindman and the rest of the State Department never took the stand ... I'd give you and her the benefit of the doubt. But, we are waaaay beyond that and everyone knows the game by now.

You're pretty emotional this morning, JC. Things not going well?
Lawyers don't mind false testimonies, frauds and manipulators....as long as they can eat off of it.

It doesn't matter what she heard as long as it can be used to score some points. The same Democrats used a scumbag lawyer like Avenatti to try to bury Kavanaugh. They will go to any lengths of depravity to hold on to power.

That's why rump and everyone who works on him has to say 'I don't remember' or they plead the 5th.
Funny how its only that side doing it, isn't it?

It would have seemed more fair if Pelosi worked out a compromise with McCarthy on Republican choices.
McCarthy walked away.
He submitted five names, she objected to two, and so he said "fine, I'm taking my ball and going home".
Remember this is AFTER they had already negotiated a bi-partisan investigation and the Senate nuked that, too.
He gambled the "It's just a partisan witch hunt kangaroo court" would be better for them than whatever they were able to produce.
I am sure he stands by that bet, even if other people now think he fucked up.

A person offering false testimony fully deserves the worst. We usually jail those who lie under oath.
Good thing that even by your own standard and your own complaint you identified (the steering wheel story) she hasn't done that.
Unless Ornato has gone under oath to say he never told her that story.

Frank this is what you posted: "Only the story told to her by Ornato about rump grabbing the wheel of the Beast was hearsay.
The rest is first hand, eye witness testimony she directly witnessed."

Everything that Ornato told her that happened and what was said in the car is hearsay. That's the legal concept of hearsay.

Perhaps you got lost in this thread as to who has posted what. I did not call her a liar. I've been saying all along the Committee should not ask her about things where she wasn't physically present.

I think basic logic is that Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony is hearsay. I don't think its a stretch to say when stories and accounts are told, and retold they are dramatized and embellished.
Her testimony isn't hearsay.
You can argue that she offered nothing but hearsay evidence that Trump grabbed the steering wheel.
Since, of course, whether or not he grabbed the steering wheel is irrelevant to any major point, why do you care?

Like I said - because that is salacious, the MSM is going to latch onto it. Also, because it was an anecdote about what someone told her, it is the bit the RW will challenge, which gives the MSM their chance to make the focus a "who is right about the steering wheel" argument, which helps Trump and crew.

Dutch.........."It's a job interview!" ;)
No.
The Supreme Court approval meetings are a job interview.
These are hearings reporting findings and evidence they've collected.

These things aren't hard, Wyatt, I'm starting to get worried about you. :)

You mean "entirely within her powers and privileges to invite anyone to the committee she wants"?
She tried accepting three other people McCarthy suggested, but he refused.

The real question is how the commission could let this happen. They worked hard to gain credibility, and now it is lost, at least among the Trumpistes.

Do the commission not have any lawyers? I thought most of the Representatives were lawyers.

Firstly, why bring hearsay to prime time.
Secondly, the story the Republican cunt served up is blatantly ridiculous. Clearly the President can tell the secret service where to go.
