Greta is so much brighter and better informed than you, moviefan.
its pretty amazing how long you can stick with a losing argument.
A quick reminder: Brightness and being well informed are two areas you're not the least bit qualified to comment on.

Try to keep that in mind for future posts.

Please.

Please tell me youre being sarcastic.

Because if you truly believe what you posted, I have a bridge for sale over the Don River I'd like you to look at.
In fact, the quality of life for most people on this planet is better today than it has ever been.

There are even some prominent climate warriors like Zeke Hausfather who acknowledge that fact and the reality that life on this planet will continue to get better.

Our resident Dunning Kruger champion speaks!

But you were also the same guy that couldn't even predict one years temp, claimed that global temps would go down 6 years ago, claimed there was no warming and then admitted that the IPCC projections have been accurate and still claims to be smarter than NASA.

Science deniers are all the same, they think they are smarter and better informed than anyone else.

Now, you're back on familiar ground - creating bullshit quotes that you falsely attribute to other members.

How's the search going for a source to back your claim that I called for Biden to cut the gas tax?

And while you're searching, let's see the source for this bullshit claim that six years ago I said temperatures would go down and that "there was no warming."

That seems at odds with my actual quote from seven years ago where I said the temperature has increased.

The fact that you constantly repeat such easily disproven lies proves my point - you're not the tiniest bit qualified to comment on things like brightness and whether or not a person is well informed.

Just stick to your "maxium" idiocy. 😀

Oh, no! Not the dreaded thermal "maxium". 😲
Oh no!
I had a typo.

7 years ago you admitted that the planet had warmed 1ºC.

The Met Office numbers on your graph confirm what I said yesterday -- a temperature increase of about 1ºC over 135 years.
In the 7 years since that, who has been correct in their projections?
You, or the IPCC?
In that post I referred to NASA's statement that we had warmed 0.6ºC from a 1950-1981 baseline, 7 years later that number is now 0.85ºC.

You are still the Dunning Kruger champion who believes they know more about the climate and climate change than all of NASA and the IPCC.

IPCC projections go to the end of the century.
Past that, at the upper ends of projections, which is where we are heading right now, is a thermal maxium in about 150 years.
See that's the thing

The climate cultists keep changing their narrative and moving the yard stick when none of the doomsday prophecies come true.

Noone with half a brain takes the climate cultists seriously anymore.

Back in late April there was some protest on a bridge in Vancouver about climate change and people started getting out of their cars and scrapping with protestors.

Everyone is sick and tired of all the "end of the world is nigh" bullshit from idiots parroting one doomsday theory or another. The whole thing is the greatest scam of all time.

You are the proverbial frog in the pot.
I'm still amazed that people don't think anything has changed and that every fucking legit scientist on the planet is lying to them and only the plucky wackos funded by oil & gas have the real truth.

There are explanations for this kind of behaviour through neuroscience, but the one area they haven't really worked is once somebody has built a faulty model of the world in their mind how do you reset it to sanity.

This is a debate about science, not finding the most ridiculous quotes that may or may not exist and may or may not have been made by reputable scientists.

For a comparison, this is a scientific study:
The quotes were not considered ridiculous 50 years by the frauds(or incompetents) trying to influence policy. Of course everyone sees how ridiculous they are now. Just like they will see how ridiculous the lies you put forward now are.

And anow another article on what MAY happen. Well we MAY be hit by a giant meteorite as well.

See?

You can't tell the difference between random unattributed quotes to a legit scientific study.
Holy shite.

The quotes from the first earth summit are not unattributed, as can be seen in the link.

This is an example of unattributed:

I'm surprised Franky wants to revisit this. But since he insists.

What he actually said in 2015 was the temperature had increased 1ºC over 25 years and was therefore on track to increase another 4ºC over the next 100 years.

And with this being about 25 years from this prediction, 5.8ºC being the upper range of the IPCC projections (with 4ºC being the median of the worst case projection), and the temperature having gone up 1ºC, this makes the predictions once again look accurate and possibly accurate for their worst case scenario.

1ºC = 1/4 of 4ºC (median worst case scenario).
25 years (1990-2015) = 1/4 of the 100 year projection timeline.
What has always made this so hilarious is he took the calculation from a CBC News story about the Earth's temperature having increased 1ºC from the "pre-industrial age" to the year 2015.

There's no dispute here - he clearly thought the "pre-industrial age" was referring to the year 1990. 😲

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

- Frankfooter posts a bullshit claim that I called for Biden to cut the gas tax.
- Frankfooter posts a bullshit claim that I predicted the Earth's temperature would "go down."
- Frankfooter posts a bullshit claim that I denied the planet had experienced warming since the late 19th century.

When challenged, he can't produce sources or evidence for any of his B.S.

It is useless trying to debate with the Climate Change Deniers. We are seeing some of the worst hurricanes, storms, droughts, tornadoes, flooding, food disruptions, forest fires and deaths as a result of these very hot and humid weather.
Yet these deniers will call it "alarmists" if this topic is touched on in anyway. Not so long ago several of them were claiming that there was no global warming and if there was, then it would be just a "cyclical pattern" that will be back to square one in a few years time!!

See how the alt right wingers try to tarnish Greta Thunberg's image:

Does Photo Show Trash at Glastonbury After Greta Thunberg’s Speech?
The grounds at a music festival often get covered with trash ... and then they get cleaned up.

Tickets for the Glastonbury festival cost £280 + £5 booking fee. How many of you
has spent more than $400 to attend a concert? It would be a surprise for a sumptuous
even like Glastonbury to not have the resources to clean up leftover of their affluent
audience.

If Greta is invited to lecture a dirt poor crowd in a similar event free
of charge on virtue signalling the results might be different.

How about taking into prospect what is included in the £285?

Tickets include:
– Entry to the Festival, with more than 3,000 performances across more than 100 stages
– Five nights camping (with no early entry fees)
– Free programme
– Free mini-guide
– Free mobile phone charging
– Free on-site newspaper
– Free mobile app
– Free firewood
– Kidzfield, where all entertainment, rides and activities are free of charge
– Support for Oxfam, Greenpeace, WaterAid and hundreds of other worthy causes (£2m given annually in recent years)
– Funds to improve the Festival’s infrastructure and environmental impact.

Yes this is 5 days with various top of the line performances. A single game of the Stanley Hockey Cup finals started at $920 for Game One.
Yet there is litter etc that needs cleaning up, no matter what. But this is not the point. Why do the right wingers have to constantly throw some real fake allegations against Thunberg on a 24 / 7 basis, in trying to portray her as a hypocrite, and slam her no matter what? Yet there are certain individuals like Rittenhouse who have carried out killings in so called "self defence", and yet are portrayed as heroes!!

Its a good point.

Moviefan might be the most pathetic of the climate change deniers as he has admitted the planet is warming but then turns around and denies it. Same as he ignore the fact that the planet has warmed about 0.25ºC in the 7 years since the post he quoted.

They really are the proverbial frog in the pot, totally unwilling to see what everyone else sees happening around them.
Its as if they really do think that all the heat domes, droughts, extreme weather and storms really are perfectly normal.

Totally normal when train tracks are so hot they derail trains.

Totally normal when there are massive heat waves in the arctic.
