And nobody has ever banned alcohol.
There will always burglars in the world but we don't encourage it by not locking our doors.

My point is that there's a bigger problem at hand here, but it gets swept under the rug because as a society we accepted the fact that alcohol is legal, and to many people enjoy this drug so nobody is interested in changing it to make it illegal.

Some might argue that as with guns, in the right hands they don't present a threat. Anyway, during prohibition in the states, the breweries and distillery's were running 24/7 and drunkenness increased. With cops and officials taking kick backs. Ever heard of speakeasy's?

We live in a different time now. You can't tell me if they took alcohol off the market we would have more drunks running around then we currently do. No chance. My only concern would be that people turn to harder stuff like coke, crake, prescription drugs...etc.

We may lock our doors but the tools to get into your doors are readily available for sale at Home Depot. I guess we should ban their sale too?

If the amount of people per capita we breaking into homes as the same amount of people we have with alcohol related problems yeah it would a consideration. At least addressing the problem would be a start as opposing just saying "ho hum, another house got broken into".

It might have been a bad analogy on my end.

I know very few people that have had their house broken into. In fact I only know one.

The amount of people I know that have had problem in lives because of alcohol is endless. Be it themselves or a family member.

So you just answered your own question. People with untrammeled substance abuse problems will always turn to something else.

Atrocious news, parents rarely survive the death of their children. At this point, I doubt Muzzo even gives a shit.

The memorial at the north east corner of Kirby and Kipling road continues to be maintained. The entitled class loves to rub in their superiority over the working class. I have a hunch that Edward Lake suffered from intense depression, he may have driven past the Cortelucci Vaughan Hospital and saw the Muzzo name proudly displayed on the lab building. It was enough to end his suffering.

I don't know if this would happen or not, and neither do you. I have a drinking problem, and I guarantee if they took alcohol off the market I wouldn't turn to something else.

Again, your throwing in the towel without even bringing the conversation to the table.

Anyway, it's a moot point because we're not turning back. We won't be banning this drug. My point is that there's a bigger picture then just throwing someone to the wolfs that fucked up while on a legal because we as a society are okay with having the drug legal. There's an inherent problem here. There are people that while sober, would never even think about getting behind the wheel while being drunk, but the problem is once they are impaired, they are no longer capable of making sound logical decisions.

I can tell you twice in my life I have fucked two women that if I was sober, I never would have touched. To the point where I was so disgusted with myself about these two women I slept with I felt ill. No matter how horny I was, not in a million years would I have even thought of doing anything with them. Would rather just rub one out.

What do you think happens when you put car keys in someone's hand when they are drunk? Are they in the fight frame of mind to make a choice if they can drive safe?

The reality is, you have no idea how Muzzo feels. Only Muzzo knows this.

He didn't even go to real prison. What prison do you know has mini golf and a barbecue for visitors?
I know he was in a minimum security facility which had much more comforts than a maximum security prison. I guess it pays to have a good legal team.

How will the wife handle it, will she be next, hope not. But she's all alone now.
She's lost her 3 kids, her husband and her father. I cannot begin to fathom having to go through something like that.

Interesting.

I had no knowledge of "Cortelucci Vaughan Hospital" or the Muzzos getting their name on a building. I did a quick google search just now because I wanted to know what you were talking about.

What a shit show.

You read the history of that development and you just go, "wow". How is it that all the various developers up in York Region get in on the action? Stalled for years by infighting with respect to the land purchase and how that land was to be used.

I've never agreed with naming hospitals, or renaming hospitals, after donors. In Hamilton, it was Juravinsky, in Vaughn its Cortelucci I now know. If you want to donate some cash, that's noble, but naming the hospital after the donor? Seems like a conspicuous display.

And then you had the Muzzos putting up 5 million bucks in 2017 and getting their tarnished name put on a building in the complex. (Just 5 million? Come on, you could have done better than that Mrs Muzzo.). It would appear that the Muzzo family donated 5 Mil in 2017. After little Marco killed 4 people. I can't help but feel that the whole thing was rather disingenuous on the family's part and they only donated in an attempt to gain some sort of forgiveness in the eyes of the community. While that may be a case of some small amount of good coming out of a whole world of bad, the whole thing just stinks. If the Muzzo family wanted some sort of penance, they should have quietly made that donation anonymously. Not put their tarnished family name up in lights in some sort of plea for forgiveness.

Again, what a shit show.

Very sad story, I think the husband suffered of some issues before. But after 7 years I don't feel Muzzo is responsabile.

Both at work and at home we've done what we can to eliminate/mitigate the risks that alcohol can create.

Our office and home parties no longer serve alcohol. Aside from keeping humans safe, another major reason is host liabilities.

Yeah, pretty sure he would have committed suicide the day after Father's Day 2022 even if Marco hadn't wiped out all 3 of his kids.

Since it's been 7 years he'd probably forgotten all about that particular incident...

How long you want to hold Muzzo responsable for the suicide of the guy? What if he killed himself in 15 years? Is Muzzo still to blame? Its a very sad and bad story and Muzzo should've spent more time in jail. .

It's funny because so many people blame drunk drivers for their actions, and while they very much accountable for their actions, I blame society and the government.

We've legalized and drug, we promote that drug, and then blame people who make bad choices because of the drug or get addicted to it.

You don't want issues with addiction? Don't want people drunk driving? Don't legalize and promote the drug.
Nope. Everyone is responsible for their own actions.

I would've let Muzzo off the hook after 8 years (jk), except if the father happened to commit suicide on any Father's Day or the day after.

Not that Father's Day would have anything to do with it, of course!

I imagine Marco's early parole being granted in February 2021 must have been hard on the father as well.

I'm assuming you don't have children, and if you do they weren't all wiped out at the same time by a drunk driver...
