Alma.. I really don't know what happened.

Ever had one of those WTF moments ??

I've not been enjoying the hobby all that much the past 3 years. COVID, kids starting college etc..

I saw the ad for Alma on LL and found a few mentions about her being a great local SP but no real reviews either good or bad.

I headed out and stopped in Kanata to pickup funds and have a fast burger. She had asked me to confirm between 8:30 and 9 which I did.. I asked if she would like some wine and she sent her preference. I guess this was my first mistake as I should have gotten the wine while I was in Kanata but I figured I'd stop at the LCBO in the market instead. I'd assumed it was open to 10 but found that is closes at 9 on Mon to Wed nights.

After telling her that I missed picking up wine she went radio silent.

Claims to never heard back from me yet comments that the LCBO is open till 10.. Oh and she provided a wine choice when I confirmed the date at 8:50..

Wow... It bothers me that she thinks I was wasting her time and it also bothers me that she wasted mine. I guess neither of us are happy.. Was this really all over a bottle of wine or did I say something wrong ??

My sympathies for your wasted time, mileage, gas and frustration. Sounds like the only things that could have made it worst are (a) if you had taken an
'enhancement' pill in preparation for the date that didn't happen...which can leave you physically as well as mentally frustrated; or (b) you had seen her and she was ticked off about whatever bothered her to the extent that the encounter was 'unfriendly'. In any case, sad that you ended up with just cause to whine instead of wine. Better luck next time.

I did look back and I think you have a point that the majority of what I've written is negative. It's unfortunate that you see it as whinning as I thought I was giving a heads up to others .. I'll make a point to get some positive reviews out so it balances things out. Thanks for bringing it to my attention..

Maj, it wasn't about the wine. Alma isn't know for her punctuality, check her previous reviews. I think all of this could be resolved with a simple apology on both sides. She's a nice lady and provides a good service but she isn't without her faults.

I've had memorable encounters with Alma, a great lady. But the last 3 attempts to see her soured out. Confirmed the day before and reconfirmed on the selected day, I was cancelled an hour or so before the appointment. I don't remember all of the exact reasons she gave me, but one was unexpected return of BF in town. I got the message.

I still see her as an amazing lady, but I guess I'm not a priority for her. It's her choice, I'm OK with that. I don't have too much flexibility in my windows of opportunity and there are many other reliable options out there.

Your story makes sense Maj. I tried texting Alma 3 years ago after I saw some other girls at a spa and was ready for more action. She was weird AF and seemed completely out of it. Gave up soon enough and called it a day.
As for you, I am guessing that the wine may have been of great interest to her and she lost interest when you couldn't get it. There are other strange stories about her on this board so nothing you wrote is actually surprising. She's infamous for her unreliability.
