Agree. Another great song, Could It Be ImFalling In Love, and, many more.great tunes....the 1st one was a cover of a 4 Seasons song...
As Eddie said 'Could It Be I'm Falling in Love' and this one you posted are probably their two signature songs. The Spinners had a deep quality discog. Great group!A classic from their Motown years...
i always liked the Winstons with this tune...kinda wimpy but soulfullHappy Fathers Day/Grandfathers Day to those of you this applies. In honor of this day a couple beauties to listen to
The Winstons- Color Him Father. Such a beautiful composition from 1969. I've posted this one before I'm sure.
Luther Vandross (the GOAT)- Dance With My Father. Even though its about a father lost its truly an ode to how important a father is to a young son. This one is a tear jerker for me.
solid vocals...great horn work...............but Dougie i cant lie..........i prefer the 2 minute tunes.......I've been on such an 80's listening tear recently, both hip hop and r&b/soul. The album 'Imagination' by The Whispers is one of the greatest of the 80's r&b/soul releases. This was track #5 from the album (one of my favorite tracks from them). A musical masterpiece.
The Soul Stirrers had some amazing lead vocalists: R.H. Harris, Sam Cooke, and Johnnie Taylor.
Featuring the vocals of Johnnie Taylor........of Whose making love to your old lady ...fame
I find 2 minutes too short. It always leaves me wanting more. I think 3:30-4:00 long is optimal.solid vocals...great horn work...............but Dougie i cant lie..........i prefer the 2 minute tunes.......
