This is actually respectable and I commend him for it. Join us and give it a chance and maybe we can find a way to make it work rather then just shutting it down. Kevin O’Leary was the same and now is a crypto supporter especially BTC. It’s really difficult to destroy bitcoin and might as well join us. Maybe amazing opportunities might present themselves.

1% of Nubank's balance sheet cash holdings are crypto coins.

Hardly an earth shattering endorsement, more of an opportunity to dine and dash thru a lowly leveraged platform to fleece the remnants of the crypto trading charge of the the lemming brigade.

Strange that many 'stars' that were paid big money to promote crypto are suddenly unreachable 🤔

Lebron James, Joel Embiid, Matt Damon, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, Mila Kunis, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Naomi Osaka and a few others all suddenly not available for comments.

The thing is they do not know shit about crypto. They just took the money to promote it. Greed greed greed...

I think the next major support level is around $ 25,500 area, then even number psychological level of $ 20,000. A lot of buyers at $ 20,000, is that going
to be the rebound level ?

It’s actually better then stocks because you can use it to buy goods and services.
Yah but you may pay 50% more if the value has declined if use bitcoin. It is all about hype just like the young inexperienced folks that traded the meme sp? stocks at values that were only based on the greater fool theory.

Stocks have a fundamental value-based on P/E ratio etc. Yes, you may underpay or overpay for value but it's based on something real.... earnings and earnings expectations, dividends etc.

Bitcoins will never be a legitimate currency other than for ransomware, drug trade,, human trafficking and other illegal business. And the kingpins or crime are often converting it to real money as fast as they can via money laundering methods.

Its been outlawed in many countries and in the US the DOL and SEC have issued stern warnings and part of prime audit issues for brokers/RIAs you better have a good justification if you sell it, especially in a retirement account where the more aggressive DOL has regulatory authority.

It is considered by many not "suitable" for most investors and we also now have the new "Best Interest"" rules requiring huge documentation on every transaction to show it is in the "best interest" of a client far beyond the prior suitability requirement., RIA's have to show a fiduciary standard in making recommendations and almost none dare suggest crypto,

Also mentioned often here are buying indexes. In my view how silly. Why on earth buy stocks just because they are in a broad index. That is foolhardy to me. I use experienced managers with long-time track records of results with positive Alpha relative to Beta and many other factors... i.e Outperformance vs risk taken.

Unfortunately, your choices in Canada are very limited however and more expensive than in the US. Even registration costs are high since each province has to register securities vs. just SEC in the US.

Assuming Covid doesn't get worse again with restrictions I will be trying again to attend a Toronto Retirement conference downtown for CFPs later this summer. It has been canceled for 3 past years due to Covid. I hate staying downtown vs for decades near the airport but may for the first time not rent a car but use Uber and stay as usual for a week or so. Also talking to a Toronto friend who we may take the train to Montreal (It has been years since been there) but maybe a separate trip.

Full disclosure I'm a BITCOIN MAxamilist

silly yet documented that most people are better off just buying indices , and even buffet himself says just buy indices ...can you show me the people you know who have beaten the market (after fees) consistently for more than 10 years ?

Yes, I can. Other than being too lazy to do research on the successful long-term Alpha and Beta history of managers, why would anyone just toss a dart at an index with no fundamental analysis? Makes no sense to me. But I'm a nerd with a CPA background and 40 years in the investment business, what do I know?

ok show me ..give me some links.

CPA, 40 years, yadda yadda ..oh ya, you mentioned you're an investment advisor ? ofc you're gonna push active management

even buffet, arguably the greatest investors in history, admits index funding is the way to go.

it's been documented, by academics (ph.ds in finance) that index investing , on a risk-adjusted basis, wins. those who have beaten on the index on a risk adjusted basis isn't likely continue to do so; for someone who works in you the industry, you are well aware of the warning that "past performance is not indicative of future performance."

you make it seem like buying the index is just like buying a lottery ticket , lol. no, you're buying the market based on legit companies (and the index will automatically adjust as new companies emerge and old ones disappear) and a track record (more than half a century ) of going up , although ofc those in the industry still must state that past performance is not indicative of future performance .

And no one thinks you are in the CAR, especially since you talk about actually using Bitcoin.
So again, why so coy?
Why the hints and nods instead of "here is what it is like in El Salvador"?

Also, if you are in El Salvador, why are you on this board shilling for Bitcoin?

Everyone is a genius and gloating about their crackerjack super duper crypto financial bona fides when they're making swollen with hot air, vapor crypto gains, but nary a peep is heard about their master of the universe financial acumen when their vapor crypto gains are vaporized right before they're "please stop falling and crashing, I can't look anymore", bloodshot eyes.

Where's ///3\\\\2 character man and his crypto charts, testimonials and promotions when you need him?

Has his array of bit mining hardware been repossessed by Al's Neighborhood Used Computers Shop and Haberdashery?

No, it wasn't hard.
It was obvious from the start, I just don't understand the point.
If you want to argue that El Salvador is the future of Bitcoin just say that.
