At least 19 children, 2 teachers dead after shooting at Texas elementary school

The suspect in the shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas is also dead, the governor said.

Fourteen students and a teacher are dead after a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, according to Gov. Greg Abbott.

The 18-year-old suspect, a student at Uvalde High School, is also dead, he said.


He shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly 14 students and killed a teacher," Abbott said during an unrelated press briefing.

The suspect also allegedly shot his grandmother before entering the school and again opening fire, Abbott said. He did not say anything further about her condition.

Abbott said the shooter had a handgun and also possibly a rifle.

There is nothing more important to many Americans than an 18 year old sicko not only being able to be able to obtain multiple weapons but also be able to load and use them accurately which probably requires some teaching to do effectively.

In Texas, any loser with a grudge can buy an AR - 15 or any other type of assault rifle. Yet there is no money for mental health or public education, both will probably become illegal in the near future.

I live in Michigan and few years ago, a middle-aged pizza delivery guy got into minor fender bender in the middle of the day. The other guy gets of his car and while approaching the pizza guy's car, the pizza guy shoots him dead with his legal gun. The dead guy didn't have a gun or any weapon and other witnesses said, he was calm and not threatening. There are too many people with right to have guns, but not stable enough.

But think of how many children's lives were saved because another citizen who owns a gun under his or her Second Amendment rights managed to shoot and kill the 18 year old wacko who carried out his heinous deeds before he could kill even more children and teachers.

Oh wait. It took a police officer with his official police weapon to do that. So much for the Second Amendment saving so many lives because the average citizen is allowed to own and carry lethal weapons.

Btw, Texas Governor Abbott a couple of years ago reduced the legal age for owning a handgun in Texas from 21 down to 18. Well done Gov!
