If you don't know by now, the issue with abortion is WHOSE body is an unborn child, and does the answer change depending upon the stage of development. If an unborn child's body is their own, would you agree that the state can protect that body from other people, including the mother?
It's not a baby.

An unwanted baby (whatever the reason) brings only misery for everyone...

List the circumstances under which an abortion is needed.

Your continuous use of assumptions makes me question your intelligence.
Anytime a woman feels the pregnancy is something that will affect her future negatively to the point she is willing to have an abortion.

now that ive read all the mens views and to those that support women i applaud you. When I was 14 I got raped and i knew nothing about raising a baby never mind having a baby. So I went to all the doctor appointments and then back in those days they werent so careful about doing xrays im 52 years old now going back when i was 14. So one doctor pregnancy check up the doctor said it looks like the heart is nott beating so they rushed me and removed the baby through abortion way ibut in all honesty i was just a little child not understanding any of it. It traumatized me the rape but what tramatized me more was the thought that my life would be ruined with a monster who raped me would be called daddy. My mom said he would end up getting daddy visits to see the baby . I screamed and cried i said to my mom he will hurt the baby. i said he will sex up the baby i didnt use the word rape back then. Now this is why i could never support conservatives or republicans about pregnancy if someone is clearly having an abortion because its not a boy and its a girl thats different. But if a mother hates her life and hates the world or cant get off heroine or alcohol why would you feel it neccassary to force her to damage the baby as shes carrying it and have the baby get a horrible start in the world with all kinds of health issues from her addictions and her hate of being a mother. Even if that addicted mother adopts the baby out chances are that baby might not make it because of her addictions. the way things are going in the united states with saying family can sue the victim being the momn is just beyond insanity. I totally understand about how precious a life is it haunted me fore years losing that baby but that big dark cloud of whgo the father was would ultimately destroy my entire life and my babies life. So in these circumstances you must know a woman or child thats FORCED AND COERCED TO HAVE SEX WITH A BOY OR MAN SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE THAT PERPATRATORS CHILD I.IMHO
Pregnancy due to rape accounts for 1% of abortions. That is a non-issue and one that most people would agree on.

CNN reporting the other side’s view. 😱🤯👍🏻

Very good op-ed and one that lefties should take the time to read and understand.

Maybe, but couldn't that also be said for children who are unwanted after they are born? Is that enough justification to end the life of a living being? Or is there a line that shouldn't be crossed somewhere?

I don't see why you think, as a man, you really have much of a say in this issue. All the ramifications of pregnancy affect women exclusively. Its really up to each individual woman to make her own choice as its her body and her life.

Why would my gender preclude me from having an opinion on abortion? Child-rearing and demographics have ramifications for everyone. Someone already posted that it's not as simple as a "my body my choice" slogan if there is another body involved (that happens to be inside rather than outside of the womb).

I thought Trump was playing the GOP… Turns out the GOP were playing Trump. They got the Supreme Court they wanted, and a major victory in their long game.
(Never understood how they put up with his stupidly and constant nonsensical tweeting… now it’s crystal clear)

They no longer need him in 2024.

Don't conflate the responsibilities owed to the unborn with the politics of those fortunate enough to make their own life choices.

All the things mentioned - day care, food stampts, welfare ,etc - exist and aren't going anywhere. They're a separate issue about fairness and proportionality.

Child rearing and demographics are separate issues. During the pregnancy you have no say, if you are in a relationship with the women, she should consult you but its non-binding. If she ignores you (as is her right) its your choice if you want to continue the relationship. If a child is born and its yours,(and maybe even if its not yours) you will pay for its upbringing according to our laws. If she decides to terminate the pregnancy, its her right to do so. If you are going to include rearing and demographics into the issue then women are being treated like livestock.

Those things barely exist in red states, where poverty is high and abortion illegal.

i anyone aware of any pro-life Congress person ever having a child who had a child out of wedlock? I would say the odds on no one having an unwanted pregnancy over all of these years is slim to nil. the chances of none of them ever having a child who has had an abortion slim to nil. As in every other case the ethics and morality of the GOP is purely situational.

Until the fetus is able to survive outside the womb, it fits the definition of a parasite ( an organism living in, on, or with another organism in order to obtain nutrients, grow, or multiply often in a state that directly or indirectly harms the host).

And late term abortions are basically 0%. Doesn't stop the anti-choice movement from using it in their campaign to impose their religious views on others.
