Are you pro-abortion, anti-abortion or indifferent? (AS usual, I do not vote in my own poll.)

I wouldn't frame myself as being pro-abortion, I view it more as giving a woman the right to choose. I mean, she's the one that needs to carry a child for nine months, then likely be the primary caregiver for the next 18 years. Dudes can nut and run. And women get abortions for so many reasons, sometimes its because they're too young, or they don't want to start a family at that time. Or the father left and they cannot care for it by themselves.

What the conservatives don't understand is that by teaching kids sex education actually lowers the rate of teenage pregnancies, which tends to be one of the major areas for abortions.

Here
I don't think you can limit this to just 3 answers. It's a really hard topic. If your anti- abortion, then what if it's rape or incest or the health of the mother is at stake. On the other hand if your pro- abortion it can lead to abuse, forced medical procedures, and a way to control population. If your indifferent it just means you haven't been put into a position where you have to choose

Many good points (pros and cons) in your post. It's difficult to cover every base in a poll without it being too unwieldy.

Cleverly, you want to influence the voting.

Nobody is pro abortion. People are either anti abortion or pro choice.

If it's rape , it's an opportunity

Yes, it is a really hard topic. Back in the day in Quebec where I grew up, unwanted babies were put up for adoption.

"abuse, forced medical procedures" i.e. the abortion was forced on the woman, not her choice.
There is a well known ethnic group that often abort the fetus if it is the "wrong" gender.

The consequences of what happened across the border may be negative for the right wingers at home, especially if the opposition play it right.

Imagine if someone would have raped his daughter(s) (if he had any). The opportunity meaning would have changed drastically.

These old fart ass hole makes the law

"Strongest support for abortion—within limits: An Associated Press/NORC poll in June found 87% support abortion when the woman’s life is in danger,
Agree
84% support exceptions in the case of rape or incest,
Agree
and 74% support abortion if the child would be born with a life-threatening illness."
Who decides -- a death panel?

What are the reasons given for wanting an abortion? One f the reasons I heard is that the fetus is the "wrong" gender.

Does 61% mean anything to you or do you think one poll means all polls of American opinion should be ignored?

The SCOTUS is trying to overturn precedent and instead push a minority religious view on society.
ROTFLMFAO!! Look up European abortion restrictions. As for the Americans' view on abortion- the support falls off as the term increases; all polls show that and have been for years and there's almost no support for unlimited/late term abortion or abortion as the birth control substitute. What you don't see is most obvious- America, like most of the western world, is pro choice, but with conditions. The SCOTUS is simply returning the option to set those conditions to the people where it belongs.

As I explained on another thread, it is a fallacy to look to the SC for settling interpretations of the Constitution on sound principles.

The SC was fine with racial segregation for 200 years even as the Pre-ample to the Constitution says:"We hold .........."

No, pro abortion is the correct term.

Pro choice would be someone who is anti-abortion in all but the rarest cases.
