How are the Belgians supposed to prevail against a squad loaded with talent when they can't beat a weak sister like Italy. They lost the U19 at home 2-0.

Man so many ppl here love to bash italy...yes they had some bad luck latley with injuries...but lets not forget they beat Belgium 2-0... spain and England in England to win the Euro's ...check the rankings when this happened...weak sister team...lmao thats funny...

A lot of folks here are underestimating the Canadian team and overrating the opponents in their group. Some of these people are ones that said that Canada would never make it to the World Cup in the first place.
I think Canada is going to surprise a lot of people and make it through to the next round.

I've been following Canada since March of 2021 hence the thread I created, I knew Canada had a chance to make the world cup, everything else from here is gravy, but I think Canada could win a match in Qatar. This could possibly happen Belgium, Croatia and Canada end up with 6 pts each and Canada fail to advance on goal diff or fair play rule. That would be the group of death.

Good luck
I’m sure you really mean that.
Anyway they’ve done well and they’re in the World Cup and they’re better than a lot of teams that are there, so they do deserve to be there even though you said that they did not.

I truly wish them the best, as I do all teams in the world cup. As you or somebody else said, it is an accomplishment already to make it to the finals.

Italy looked uninspired in qualifications, still hunger over from the Euro. Beyond that they had injuries to key personnel: Spinazzola, Chiesa and Zaniolo.

Currently Zaniolo has been benched by Lo Speciale at Roma. His recovery from gruesome knee injuries has been painfully slow, Mou can't rely on him. It's unclear if Spinazzola will return this season, he has been training with Roma. No word on Federico Chiesa's return, at this point nothing is to be gained by rushing him back.

Unlike Lo Speciale, Mancini didn't bring in younger players. He's so simpatico!

One of the Tregoria youngsters Lo Speciale has called up to the senior club is Nicola Zalewski. Born and raised in Italy, he will honour his heritage and play international football for Poland.

As for Canada.

Strong rumours are circulating that Jonathan David could become a Milan player. Elliot Management controls LOSC Lille's debt, they are looking to buy the club outright once the sale of Milan is finalized. Lille has already sold Rafael Leao and goalie Mike Miagnan to Milan plus Victor Osimhen to Napoli.

Lille and David are really struggling. Meanwhile, FC Porto remains unbeaten, only wish they give Eustaquio more playing time.
