This following so soon after 5 E.I. students died in a traffic accident.

Why do you have to point out their are East Indian?

All 6 were international students. So sad. They come here for an education and they go back home in a casket.

I only know they are E.I. because that is what the media said.

Nothing from media reports indicate anything nefarious. He was shot multiple times so it was clearly intentional. Maybe mistaken identification? Poor dude was just going to work at a Mexican restaurant.

Numerous people have previously pointed out darts' predisposition to routinely play the race card. It seems to be an obsession with him. I think that it's some form of virtue signalling.

There was a commercial on tv when I was kid. Little Johnny runs in the house and tells his mom “David just said I’m prejudice”.

“Who’s David?” Mom asks.

“He right” mom replies. “You should have just said ‘your friend’”.

That’s what racism is. And you can substitute any race race or religion in that scenario.

It amused me in the Will Smith / Chris Rock thread to see people actually ask what would have happened if he hit a white man… or made the joke of black on black violence. Ask yourself though… did you see a ‘Man slap another man’? Or a ‘black man slap another black man’. That is the standard I use. I will freely admit I don’t always measure up myself… But that is the standard I hold myself too.

Canada not getting a good reputation in India. Police have released little info about the suspect none about motive. (I was in the Sherbourne subway area just last Autumn to attend a group function but couldn't find the location. Not much foot traffic in that area.)

Kudos to TPS. They have arrested a suspect in the "Sherbourne Subway" murder. The same suspect was also arrested in the George/Dundas murder.

I’m sorry that those people are dead but India is not exactly getting a very good reputation in Canada either with their duct cleaning Harassment calls and CRA scams that have robbed many Canadians out of a lot of money.

A couple of points.

1) I sense from the way the police chief was speaking at the press conference that there might (or might not) be more than 2 victims.

2) The good news is that there is little risk of any future victims now that the suspect has been apprehended. (Damn, I use to hang out at Filmores, so close to the spot. The boys and girls use to stand and smoke outside in front of the door.)

We still don't know the motive for these two shootings. Two dudes minding their own business and end up getting shot multiple times. I'm sure many if us have been in the area of Sherbourne station and/or Filmores.
