On another note, this could possibly the worst year for the Leafs to face the Panthers or Bolts. They're such strong teams. If the Leafs have to be considered underdogs in a match up against them.
did you watch the 1st round last year?

Yes, what's your point? I know anything can happen...
your saying fla car tampa are all strong teams[ which they are]. mont was on life support last year and took care of the leafs. i guess my point is they wont get out of the 1st round again.

That's the beauty of the playoffs, it's like a new season. As for the series against Montreal, Tavares was taken out in the first game and Matthews couldn't shoot the puck due to his wrist injury. In fact it was so bad, resting it all summer wasn't enough and had to have surgery at the end of August. You can say others should've stepped up, but effectively losing those two players definitely had something to do with it.

Entertaining game to watch last night in the Leafs 6-4 win over BOS. Mrazek injured, 2 d-men injured. Willy spent a significant amount of time on the 3rd line. Matthews inching closer to 50 goals. Marner scoring more consistently. Wonder if the Leafs thunder or limp across the line into the playoffs?
