Aloplecia isn't life threatening, it isn't even painful. I was a big shiny chrome dome at 30.

It hasn't hurt Corey Stoll's career, he got to play young Corrado "Junior" Soprano.

You are not a woman. I don't prétend to understand how balding is for a man but you guys certainly don't know how traumatic it is for a woman. Violence was not the right choice but you guys should not brush off an issue you aren't aware of.

So my bad. It was monk jokes not GI Jane. Oh and crusty the clown jokes.

But it was all about how free she feels, and she is 50 and has the fuck-its. How it is empowering, etc. I don’t get this type of negative reaction over a joke for something so freeing and empowering.

Seem more like she had to do, made it positive for good ratings but clearly doesn’t feel what she preached on the RTT. I think someone who is joining The Bald Boss Movement would be able to take a bald joke. I mean GI Jane was an extremely female positivity impactful movie. Demi shaved her head on TV. Jada is an actress. It is not a far reaching joke and it is so lighthearted compared to what could have been said.

Your generalization is hurting my brain, why should early onset balding be any less traumatic for a man. Jada Pinkett Smith is 50 and fabulously wealthy, she should consider herself very lucky. It could have been worse, it could have been Ricky Gervais telling a bald joke. At least now everyone has seen what Will Smith is...and Gervais would have slapped him back.

Jada Pinckett Smith's best film.

I see your brain is very hurt because you guys keep talking for us lol. You accept our baldness so should we. Doesn't work like that. You cannot invalidate people's feelings based on your own

Yes Will laugh at the joke until he saw how uncomfortable she is. Once again it's not the first time she is being laugh at for this issue. You don't know what happens home. I am just asking for a bit of compassion here. Both side are wrong.

She shows off her head and even says it's empowering but when someone makes a light-hearted joke, all of a sudden it's a problem.

You need to get out of your feelings.

Will assaulted someone but you just "cannot think bad of him".

Why not? Those are your feelings again.

The more your write, the less sense you make.

Also nobody is "talking for [women]" here. Your presumption that balding is somehow easier for men is your attempt to talk for men.

Yeah the punch was not a good idea but I still cannot think bad of him.

The one thing I don’t get and maybe I am wrong but I am hearing a lot of commentary about her losing her hair and that is why she is bald. Which I guess could be true kind of. But she is bald because she shaved her head and continues too. Ahead of losing her hair. If you see her explain it, it was also about so many other things. That is why I posted the RTT about it. It is all from her own words. It was re-defining the image of beauty and the stigma of hair. Do I think she would have shaved her head if not for her condition? Probably not, but I don’t think you can call it one thing or more then one thing and then fall back on something else because that “reason” has better optics at the time.

Also she did this in September 2021. So only 6 months ago-ish. This is the first award ceremony so it is not a shock that jokes are going to be made. I wonder what Will would have done it is was a woman who made the joke instead of Chris Rock.

So in the age of equality. ......

Would anyone be defending the actions of Will Smith if Amy Schumer had made the joke?
We'll see what the academy does, they'll have to to do something besides saying violence is not ok. Maybe they'll take the oscar back or ban him. I thought Amy Schumer was very funny.

No, one side is wrong. The other "side" told a joke, which is perfectly fine and legal. And Will thought it was funny, until his ole lady decided for him that it wasn't.

Get out of your feelings. They're twisting you like a pretzel.

The Oscars is such a stuffy, snobby affair...Will Smith gave it the most entertaining moment in years.

After all, everyone should punch Chris Rock in the head.

Amanda Labelle let's give our compassion to someone who deserves it, Liza Minelli has Lewy Body Dementia. The same disease that ended the life of Miracle Met Tom Seaver. It's the 50th Anniversary of Cabaret.

So many things....

Why hasn't Will Smith been arrested? He physically assaulted someone on live TV. LAPD has an obligation to act.

Why didn't the Academy a) have him arrested b) escorted out c) refuse to give him his award d) condemn his actions in more forceful terms?

His assault was an unjustified, sucker-punch type assault on a physically smaller individual - what a pussy move. If it had been someone bigger than Rock, wonder how he would have handled the situation?

What Rock said was no where as offensive as many things Ricky said without being trucked. Is there some invisible line that was crossed by Rock that wasn't crossed by Ricky?

When you attend the Oscars as a probable winner, and the hosts are comedians, don't you go in expecting to be targeted for jokes? If you can't take the jokes, why are you in public life in the first place, and if you are, don't you need to develop a thicker skin? Smith has been on all the late night shows, who are merciless. Why now, on this night, does he decide to go postal on Rock?

I can't wait to see the new viral memes that come out of this that live on for the next 100 years.....

Bottom line: Will Smith should be sitting in a jail cell right now.

This. I think/hope it is one of those delayed things. Where it will happen, just not for a couple of days and because Will is a star, he will be able to turn himself in, sign some autographs and head back out. Court will be on zoom and he will have to pay some fine and do charitable work. Which he will use to his advantage and to further his public image in a positive light.

Cucks gonna cuck.

In this age of equality, why didn’t she get up and slap him? Gotta send in the simp.

Seriously tho, this was all staged as a publicity stunt to get people to up the ratings. Nothing more.

LOL

It's sad. The man is a talented entertainer. I grew up watching him and even listening to his early rap songs from the 80s. His wife was a pretty thing many moons ago but never had talent or brains, and her public record shows that she belongs to the streets.

It's as though Will suffers from some type of battered wife syndrome. The money, fame, and power cannot overcome the simp from within. He's driven by emotions and feelings, so he's completely lost.
